Your little bubble is the reason there are no more Star Wars movies, only TV shows. The franchise was saved by The Mandalorian not some small time agenda driven comic book with a following of 75 Reddit users. But don't take it from me, take it from Howard Chan and other entrepreneurs who make their living selling loads of Star Wars merchandise, ST sucks confirmed. I'll wait patiently for those high end High Republic toys though.

You can include Hasbro as well , they didn't want to produce PT figures because of them clogging the shelves and Disney forced their hand. Years ago Hasbro would put out figures from the comics like those from Dark Empire , good luck now selling Geode or Ramjam or whatever dumb names they are given.

I don’t do social media “bubbles”, but in the comic world, the Star Wars fans are loving it. Why aren’t people covering it? Because they don’t read it. Period. If they DID they would be covering it about being good or being horrible, am I right or wrong? People, especially YouTubers, don’t miss a chance to let people and LFL know how bad they’re screwing up. So yeah, that’s why YOU aren’t hearing about it. I actually work in the Star Wars world and that’s as far as I’ll go with that. But as for the social media “bubbles” that you frequent, I can’t speak to that. But go to Star Wars comic Reddit, and all the other places that cover Star Wars books and comics, and it’s killing it. Did you even see the sales? How can you debate sales? The first copy went into a FIFTH printing for god sake. How can you ignore the sales. So keep belittling me by calling my bubble “little”, but your “little” social media bubble doesn’t mean much to the rest of the world, just as mine doesn’t.

And the High Republic is much mother than Claudia Grey and the Geode ( if that’s what you’re discussing). It’s not all fantastic. But a lot of it is really good.

Which just goes to show that people will buy anything. I sold most of my SW stuff cause Legends is dead and they want this new fruity type of material. This stuff lacks creativity and I'm almost done with SW. Mando is the only reason I am staying with it, and it took me until this year to watch it. I'm glad I am done with comics as the material in Marvel and DC were pushing me out anyways. Where is the cool Darth Revan, Darth Malak, Darth Nihilus, Exar Kun, Mara Jade, Cade Skywalker characters? SW barely wants to do it's bread and butter and they still make money. Just goes to show you how desperate people are for new material. Doesn't matter if it sucks or not, they need something new.

Everyone wants more Fett and it took a Mando show that probably was a Fett show to prove that we need a Fett show. It doesn't take a high I.Q. to understand that low I.Q. people are in charge. What I would do to tell them how awful of a job they are doing. Maybe you can since you work in the SW world.

I still like the coloring on this DW Mando. Great for the Mando collection, but I am staying out of the trooper business. Glad this figure arrived on time and maybe we will see something new on Wed at the SS NYCC Con.

i agree with you on some of this stuff but I think there deserves to be a general Star Wars thread for these discussions. The ******* **** **** ******* censors are ******* stupid.

It may be killing it on Reddit. But the only thing I see about High Republic elsewhere is actual derision, and this is from all ages of people. Boomers, zoomers millennials gen Xers you name it! All are united in their scorn over stuff like talking rocks.

Which I dont say to hurt your feelings, if you like a thing that I dont like, its not a personal insult you know? But the overall perception of High Republic stuff does not seem to be that great.

I was actually hoping this would turn out to be something i could tolerate, since Id like to know more about, say, a Trandoshan Jedi which is an interesting dichotomy. But that talking rock killed my interest. That, and in the excerpt i read one of the female leads struck me as a rude, antisocial ***** for no reason. This may pass as edgy grrrrrl-power nowadays: it just strikes me as crass.

I cannot escape the feeling that a lot of this stuff is story developers pranking the audience by seeing how much theyll put up with, that we the audience are being played for fools. "Hey lets have a talking rock, thatll really piss em off.....!"

".....No wait, they love it!?? Wtf are you serious?!!" And then the writers fall out of their chairs laughing at the fans. Thats how crazy some of this stuff comes off.

Meanwhile, how bout that DWM!??? He still is looking awesome, i call that SW done right.
