I kinda wish the stripes were only on the shoulder armor.

Nah. Let's be honest. Thus figure is beyond boring. Repainted nameless Boba-like and there is nothing he can go with. No battle droid or something. Easy pass for most people. Even Mudtrooper or Heavy Mando are not exactly grails driving people crazy.

So like every trooper in Star Wars right?

Heavy Mando is an incredible figure with unique armor, gun and body size. There were an onslaught of praise for him on the forum with his salute, jet pack and huge gun.

Thinking the same thing. I was wanting two of these with different stripes but I don’t think I want to tackle customizing one.

I have two incoming but I doubt I mess with the paint. I'll just try to pose one in a manner that minimizes the stripes. If it were just the shoulder pauldron HT could have done a swap out. I think the less busy design would look better too.

The review points out that the chest plate, forearm and thigh armour are the same moulds as the durasteel Din.

This is much more my style of review. Thanks for posting. I am DELIGHTED to see that that dynamic stand linkage pops out and can be replaced by a regular vertical piece. Yay.

I dont think there's much to this claim that this guy supplied some of Din's Armor parts, I thought all those parts were pretty much standard issue? But maybe he did, it'd be nice to see more in the show about Din's early life.

I have a feeling season 3 will be the last one, then it will be Mando movie time - and perhaps we can see more about that there.

The reason the armour on this figure is the same as Din's is purely Hot Toys using the same moulds which is why the dents are there, the shoulder bells however are bigger than Din's. A crotch grab stand wont fit in the hole.

Uh, yes it does. If you watch the video provided by Asta up there, the reviewer pops the dynamic stand linkage off the stand, revealing the regular square opening for a regular stand underneath. YAY

Yes, the stands do look to be identical in construction:

Well, the reason the armor is the same as Din’s is because that’s how it was in the show.
And, yes, a crotch grabber post will fit in the stand. That’s been mentioned by other people before too.

You need the old post from the original HT oval stands. It fits in just fine... I bought an extra sand Mando base for my Darth Maul, and it's the same as the OT Sandtrooper that comes with that post.

And, yes, you’re right, the battle damage got left on the armor for DWM. Too bad they did that. Not really noticeable to me but would‘ve been nice to have it’s own mold.

Agreed, Im glad they made the shoulder bells bigger than DIn's left pre Beskar though.

On a side note I just got an email from Toys Wonderland offering this for $230 and shipping out same day. Guess they’re feeling the crunch with the quick releases over here and trying to compete.

Got my first (ordered only a couple months ago) DWM in from SSC. First time I’ve ever gotten something from them before TBA.

Wondering if they’re trying to start getting early release shipments before HK vendors. I’m sure the customers they lost has grown substantially over the past few years.
