I wonder if they will tackle any of the creatures SS has not done and put up for actual sale. I would love to get a Rancor and Wampa.
No kidding... so its 1:5.5 scale.. big deal. Its still cool as hell.

Any guess how much will this cost?
This is a must for me, but the space it requires scares me.
There are a few in this thread that think this will never be produced. I want to be remain optimistic about it. There is a market (although probably much smaller than their actual figure market) for these large scale collectibles. We have seen things such as life size Vader's and life size Han in Carbonite's from companies like Sideshow before. Although this thing looks like it's the size of a La-Z-Boy, there are some die hard people who would make the space for it in a room, even at a very expensive price point. If they do actually release this, I'm sure it will be a really small, expensive run.
Don't pay attention to those people. They don't work for Howard which means they don't know anything.
I agree with you in that there is a huge market for large scale collectibles Hot Toys is only now going to begin exploring. And no, these 1/6 Star Wars vehicles won't just be targeted at rich collectors. I'm by no means rich and plan on buying every vehicle they crank out.

I also don't think it will be produced However I damn well hope it does, even if I can't get it. Just being available would be an awesome thing!
I think you meant an AT-ST or this as a joke. A 1:6 scale AT-AT from Hot Toys is never going to happen:

It's a bit of a weird decision to produce a TIE fighter before an X-Wing or a Landspeeder. A Landspeeder is pretty much the same as the Falcon cockpit - "hero" display piece (and you therefore need to buy all those heroes) - and an X-Wing has a ladder for Luke X-Wing to stand on, R2 in the back, other heroes around Luke - but a TIE... just hides a single TIE pilot. Even Vader's TIE I could sort of understand with a new ANH Vader coming from HT.
It's mega-mega cool and heralds a new era in 1/6 collecting, but I'm not really following the logic of the TIE coming first.
Yep. Quite a few.
That's my main issue here. Maybe, just maybe, I will find an acceptable (for both me and the missus) spot for one of those 1/6 scale vehicles but not for a whole collection of them. Good thing for me they start (theoretically) with the regular TIE which is my favorite SW ship.Hot Toys could offer this at a retail price that might tempt us. It will be expensive I am sure, but not a pipe dream for us to own (space permitting).
Tie makes perfect sense.
The ship isn't really that big, the Wings stand huge but there is a lot of empty space in reality.
Make new wing moulds for: Tie Interceptor. Tie Advanced, maybe even a Tie Bomber with extensive retooling.
The Tie Fighter is in the Force Awakens. So lots of new options here too.

I don't see this being priced over $2000.
