A 1/6th scale tie fighter is cool and all but to be honest I'd much rather see a 1/6th scale x-wing.

I'd still buy the TIE regardless, but I do believe the production of other vehicles will depend a great deal on sales for the first.

According to member Shadow on Rebelscum the Hot Toys Falcon cockpit and TIE Fighter are prototype concept models built just for this show, these are not confirmed or approved products yet. In essence Hot Toys is testing the waters to see what the reaction will be.

Hmmm. If the TIE goes into production, I'll have some tough decisions to make. Think it would be a really nice standalone piece to represent SW and just sell everything else off. That does mean missing out on a ton of great and iconic characters, though.

I have the eFX TIE, so this is an easy pass for me. I prefer accurate studio scale stuff. However the Falcon cockpit would look amazing displayed next to my MR Falcon.

I think the HT TIE fighter is awesome, and I don't really give a crap if it's not precisely in 1/6.

I feel like they will definitely make an x-wing though (if not just for shows) - you can't really have a TIE fighter without an X-wing, can you? It would be like having Marty without Doc, Tonto without the Lone Ranger, BR Batman without Penguin/Catwoman, etc. Definitely a no brainer!
