perhaps this is some sort of selling gimmick,

show proto, have everyone guessing the price, gauge reaction from blog like this one, hmmm, seem like $400 is too much for everyone, okay, we'll have some retailer list the price at $730, once everyone get over the sticker shock, a "reduced" price of $400 will seem a total bargain. (which was what the price was gonna be originally anyway)

Well, remember Toys2 has to pay to ship these from China so I'm sure that is built into the 390 price. I imagine the Retail price point in Asia is 350 which is what many of us guessed long time ago. 350 is a fair price point for this IMO.

i have to agree with you. i'll try to buy as much as i can from him, but for items where there is clearly a big price difference, i may have to go somewhere else.

Toys2 is THE official HT Dealer in North America so I imagine they may get a better deal. We'll see. Game on. The number to Beat is $440 Shipped in US!

If Tumbler is $400 with Toys2, we may luck out with the Batpod coming in at $250, if it's $250 or less I'll be tempted to bite, after that my rational brain starts asking will I regret having it a year or two from now once the hype of the movie is out of my system. The figures I'll always cherrish, but without seeing the movie yet, the Batpod's all about the coolness of how it looks and the excitement of the movie coming. Power Loader is one thing because it's one of the most memorable scenes in Sci-Fi, but if the Batpod doesn't leave that kind of impression, I may not care down the road about having it and wish I had the space and money back. I just got a first quote for ocean freight for these bad boys and it looks like I should be able to offer these for a lot less than I originally thought....honestly I was hoping to offer these for around $400ish..then I saw the size I was like oh crap this is gonna be a $600 piece if I air freight it..but it looks like I may actually be able to get these closer to the $400 price point as well..I am working hard on it...but I will be sending out an email tonight to everyone that preordered Jokers/Batmans from me with pricing on the Batpod and Batman Dark Knight Armor Figure.
