EDIT: shipping from toys2 to belgium is in the cheapest option: 220 dollars :horror

so, no toys2 for me :)

Shipping a Tumbler to Ireland from Toys2 is going to be $282.36. :monkey2 I know I'm insane but I'm going to pay it.

My Batpod and TDK batman will cost $221.71 to ship....so yeah, added to the cost of the actual toys, these are going to be some expensive mofos....easily the most I've ever paid for individual items. I better not tell me mummy or my girlfriend!!!

Bro, you may want to consider using an Asian dealer on ebay like ABC Express. If you use a cc Card to pay, many CC Companies will offer you protection for a whole year.

Shipping will be a whole lot cheaper for you that way too. This Dimensional shipping weight is really killing the fun here. The Tumbler is only like 28 lbs yet the dimensional weight is something like 68 lbs because of the oversized box. Kinda sucks...

That's a shame. At least you tried. It's why I try to be careful and make sure I have extra funds to cover these unexpected announcements. Maybe try Big Bad Toy Store. I know it says $700 for a Tumbler, but has anyone bothered to find out why?

It's not an error...they actually lowered the price to $650. I discussed their reasons for the high prices earlier.

Here's what they say:

"*****NOTE - Due to the high cost, low wholesale discount, and extreme shipping fees on this oversized item (vehicle is approximately 28.75" x 18.5" x 11") our retail price is higher than we'd like, but the best we can do given the costs. "

I will also add that BBTS is in WISCONSIN. So obviously shipping costs will be higher once those Tumblers land on the West Coast and have to continue being shipped to the Midwest. I'm sure some of that cost is factored into the Batmobile PER ONE UNIT.

They are also NOT an official Hot Toys retailer and perhaps are NOT getting these directly from Hot Toys. And because they are not getting them through Sideshow (like CornerStore,AlterEgo,etc.) as their middle man, BBTS has to rely on their own international importers and who knows what dealings they have there? So overall, the costs are showing up to be really hard on BBTS and that has to go to the customers for BBTS to turn a profit on this endeavour.

They may CONTINUE to lower the prices as the year goes by but this is a risky venture for BBTS as they might end up with a huge stock-pile of Batmobiles that no one wants for that price or they might be the only place left that has the Batmobile if they really turn out to be a hot sale after the movie, during Christmas, and whether people want to spend the cash.

Obviously BBTS is the last retailer people are looking at for this item.

STILL unsure of these. I caught that short clip of the Pod in action, and I am still leaning to getting it, but not the Tumbler. Just can't figure out where on Earth I would put such a monster! It is nice though, but a price that escapes me. Shipping too. No way that Pod can be all that much more than a guy. It ain't that large. Unless it comes built already. Just don't get the markups on that one.

Hey Les. You got a big freaking Piano in your room right now. Once your cousin picks it up, repalce it with a big freaking table/display cabinet and put the Batmobile there. Surely the Batmobile is still smaller than a piano!

And besides,

"It's not about money, its about sending a message."

That brings up something that I hadn't really considered. How much assembly will be required of these things? I was assuming that the tumbler, at least, would be more or less fully assembled, because it looks like it would be easy to just pop in a box, unlike something like the power loader.

why don't you buy from an asian ebay seller dude!!!!??? :google :google:google:google
it's like thé most cheapest and best option we europeans seem to have.....
buying from the american stores = seems to cost to many on shipping
buying in europe = not done :) (too expensive IF they will hit our markets)
so only option left = asian ebay sellers...

I will pre order the bat-pod mid july here: https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130234329146&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

you should really do the same thing, becasue for that shipping cost, you can buy a whole figure, even a bat-pod...

At that price I would have expected Alfred to have been included with the Batpod :duh. I don't get the markups on this either.....It's not as big as the powerloader, it doesn't look as complicated...why is it almost as expensive? All that complaining aside I still got it, so I guess there is your answer !@#$%^

Have you measured 65 cm? Its HUGE dude.

This is whats stated:

- Approximate product size: 65 x 18 x 17 cm ( Lx W x H)

It doesn't say box or packaging so i'd assume the actual Pod is this big.

Think it is likely for the packaging....the thing doesn't look twice as long as Batman.

No way the Batpod should be worth 200+ compared to this

But I still ordered it so just a pointless rant :lol

I agree, but I still consider the powerloader one hell of a deal, too ;)

Art of toy has always been a pricey place . I think they have been in business for awhile now. Kind of surprised that they have been able to last that long when you don't have to search far to find more friendlier prices.
