The inside thigh! Man, I posted a thread a while back about the chunk missing out of my Leo's inner leg and said that I didn't know whether it was something I'd done or whether it was just a result of the rubber lacking structural integrity where the seam lines met.

But these pics are showing the same chunk I've got going on - so it's a common thing?

Either way I don't care. I love this figure, and don't even care what some say about rubber bodies deteriorating over time etc. Leo is one of my faves, so many posing options, all of which are badass!

Has this figure starten too rotten for anyone?
I just read in the Mars attacks thread that the Martian Soldiers have starten to crack in the joints :/

I really, really hope that hot toys got it right with the material on Leo...

Great pics! I still wish the body was not made of rubber. Outside of that, it's top notch.

Well, yeah the worry that it will start to crack is a pain.
But i hate visible joints, and since Leo is naked this would had been a pass for me if it was a solid plastic body with joints.

Same with T-800 i will never pose it without jacket, hate the elbow joints on that one...

The thing about Leo's rubber body is that there were a few places it didn't need to be rubber.
The torso articulation is a bit limited. They could've just gave him a ball joint at his waist at the edge of the briefs (kinda like an old school 3.3/4 Joe waist) and it wouldn't have been seen. It would've had about the same range of motion, maybe even a bit more (just no forward/backward bend).
Another place is his knees, they're covered by his grieves in front so the legs didn't need to be entirely rubber.
About the only thing that needed to be rubber was his arms.

Looks like marks from the stand hooks.

I agree. Mine doesn't have those chunks.

BTW, let me share a few photos of mine:

Cool pics! The Ignite armor looks good, but it's a bit too shiny (unless it's your lighting).

Not the lighting. Didn't use flash on that one :) I've been meaning to try weathering it, but haven't had the balls to do it yet :)

I'm not familiar with the Ignite armour, but it'd be a shiny paint or similar material applied over moulded plastic no? So you couldn't scrape it back without the underlying white plastic showing through, and with some risk of the shiny surface flaking away in parts.

Careful hands with paint and fine sandpaper I'm guessing?

I have to double check, but from what I remember it's made of thin sheet metal :)

I've seen some customs using paint and tamiya weathering powder. A friend of mine also suggested that I use ground-up pastel, but I'm still not confident with my painting skills. That project is still in the pipeline though.

Wow, that sure is one polished piece of metal! Look forward to seeing the WIP pics if you take the plunge!
