With the pose above he would start to fall backward without the stand, isnt that hard to fix with a thread?

Yeh, you're right - I tried the pose and looping the thread to Leo's neck and to a tie point above him is the only way to do it with a line - the thread is not exactly invisible... attaching the thread discreetly from the back is not an option.

Hot toys should develop figures with an internal balance system so we dont need to stable them with stands or strings :p

Having missed out on the Go Hastings Leonidas deals twice, I had given up hope on finding one for retail or below, and since there's no way in hell that I'd spend $200+ on Leo, I gave up on ever having one.

But I took a chance on the Sideshow Wait List a couple of weeks ago, and sure enough, it came up a win!

Robbie, that's not just an amazing figure and pose but an awesome photograph! I might just steal that pose for mine, although I worry about the bent rubber arm over extended periods of time. The few rubber HT figures I have have been limited to non flexed arms for prolonged display, so I haven't seen any problems yet, Leo probably will have to be posed the same.
Can't wait to get him! :D

Thanks man. Just drop the shield a bit and there shouldn't be any stress on the joints. Stole that one from a Roman sculpture, who probably stole it from a Greek sculpture.

I posed mine the same way, except I placed the helmet resting up and back on Leo's head to also show the head scupt. Great minds think alike. Great figure you won't be disapointed!!

I missed out on him too from Hastings.....well I ordered him but it came up as out of stock later. I checked BBTS the other day and low and behold he was on there...ordered him and checked again and he was gone.....guess it was just a random one they found in the back....mines on the way as well. :yess:

Wow, I checked there too with no luck weeks ago. Congrats! :duff

Guys, are the legs removable?
If yes, is it just to pull straight out?

I've bought a second body for a custom project, and plan to use those legs since i got some marks on my other legs because of crouching pose.
