It actually is a good strategy. I wasn't thinking about picking up HB due to the price but this makes me want to pick them both up and have them displayed together.

Also does anyone else notice that the figures yoga pants is missing the avengers logo on the hip and the red stitching?

Yep, I held off on the Avengers Hulk so that I could get the AoU Hulk to pair with the HB.

I hope the inconsistencies in the HT yoga pants and the promo/artwork mean we'll be getting darker pants.

Really good deal, and for once with HT actually pricing this appropriately due to the heavy reuse, I can see many folks who missed out on the first one actually caving in for this second version.

Wish they did the same with IM figures

Yeah, I'm surprised no one is arguing. If this was an Iron Man thread one or two "experts" would talk about how retooling an old figure doesn't mean the price won't be more because of materials and fuels (like Midas $300 with nothing and Python $270 with nothing while both being repaints of MK7 $250 which had lots of extras, and MK42 $310 with lots of extras and the absurd increase for MK43 $345 with um a base... :lol) and blah blah blah... :rotfl I'm just surprised the price went down with a new head sculpt as opposed to same price at least. Bonus for people who want the regular version.

It does look like a good offering....they didn't just opt for a new head and shorts plopped on the same body....there some new angles with this one. I like the swap out "seamles" action pose...pretty inspired actually.

Didn't get the first one so......hmmmm. We'll see....

I guess I'll be in the minority on this one. The pants aren't iconic but they make sense since he's a teammate, amongst other reasons. I love options so I really like where HT's head's at with a deluxe set. The one thing I didn't like about the original was that it was bare bones. 2 sculpts and the power pose torso is a great move. I would've even liked that mangled street light, or whatever that is that he whacks Stark with.

I get the feeling we are seeing penetration pricing in the hulk...people gonna go in on this hulk then realize they absolutely need hulkbuster to go with. Then hulkbuster will be something absurd. Kinda like wut kotobukiya is doing with their statues

I was thinking something similar. I get the whole reuse thing, but still; something's fishy :lol. This is unlike Uncle Howard. (and the only real reuse is the body. The sculpts and torso are new. $75 more than the original for a second sculpt and torso? Not bad!)

It's just really odd to price something lower than the similar original release (most seem not to agree, but to me the sculpt is an improvement). Maybe the angle is they're trying to make this more attractive to the people who own the first version so they'll come back for seconds, and it'll look even more attractive to those who missed the first one.

Who knows. I'm not complaining, it's just so hard to rationalize when you're weighing out this, MK 43, Ultron and Thanos. But by all means HT, keep pleasantly surprising us with pricing :)

I keep going back and forward. I will place my order Friday but rethinking if I want the Deluxe or Standard. Deluxe is awesome but am I willing to spend $374 on it? It's a damn good deal no doubt but thinking the standard would be just as good. That price is just too good and you still get the new head sculpt.

Well I have the first one and still jumped on the deluxe set as soon as it was available. Yea the heads are fairly similar and I'm definitely not feeling the pants (mostly the color) bt the screaming head and extra torso combined with not an out this world price tag...it's kind of a no brained to me. Got me wondering also if the extra torso can be used with the bottom half of the original avengers version??? And how far off will the greens be??? I still think somehow the purple with red marking pants will show up for this too. Whether it be another version like a banner/hulk set or something. I don't think all the other merchandise would be showing that look if it wasn't gonna be in the film bt who knows :)

Not missing, the pants in the Koto and Hasbro pieces are entirely different from the ones on the HT figure, but if you watch the trailer, the HT pants match the Hulkbuster fight, so, either he has 2 different sets and perhaps the other companies are basing it on his final battle suit, or it could be another case like avengers 1 of companies basing their stuff off art like below when that's not the final look. With Avengers one there was a lot of merchandise with him in tan pants because that's what he wore in all the marketing art, but in the movie, he never wore anything close to that color.
