They should stick to using big name actors like Christopher Reeve, Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, and Chris Hemsworth.

I dont think Christopher Reeves is available..and he wasnt a big name until he played superman. Christ Hemsworth had a bit part before Thor...I dont see your logic

I'm holding out judgement until I see his performance, from the trailers he doesn't seem to do too bad.

I do think that the Toby Spiderman suit looks more iconic, but can't wait to see what Hot Toys do with this version. It should look pretty epic

Wasn't he James T Kirk's father George, in the recent STAR TREK movie? I think that this was his highest profile exposure pre-THOR.

Yes, I have always loved that look. Spidey was on of my personal 'BIG 3' along with the Bat and the Last Son. I am planning to get the R/B Spidey and the Black suit Spidey after my FLEX obligations conclude, and this new SM will be a definite PO for me too.

I can't wait for this figure but what I'm wondering is whether we'll get a Lizard. According to Yahoo! Movies and a few others linking the new trailer, the Lizard is supposed to be 9 feet tall. That's a massive figure and HT hasn't exactly leaped into that pool quickly given how long it took to get any kind of Hulk or Jake Sully.

They've handled Hulk pretty quickly, the license was only announced about 4 months ago and there is a proto pic already with it expected to reveal within two months

My wants from this license:

1. Spider-Man (full body sewn-in costume, no head-sculpt)
2. Lizard
3. Peter Parker with first night out disguise
4. Battle Damaged Spider-Man (with Beaten and Bruised Peter Head but no masked head)

They handled The Hulk after completely ignoring the character in his 2008 film even though back then they were getting every license under the sun. It's obvious that the bigger characters gave them trouble. The Lizard doesn't share a body type with The Hulk or even Jake, especially the way they've CGI'd him which puts a huge question mark into it.

I'd be surprised if we got anything more than Spidey with Peter sculpt. Hope they give us more though..
