Not necessarily true. Hot Toys seems to have surprised a lot of people by pricing the Man of Steel Superman pretty fairly (or at least under what a lot of people were thinking it would cost when he's a pretty big name figure that probably would have sold no matter the price. Granted yes, he is pretty no frills but still.

I'm kind of new to this stuff but it seems a lot of people jump to conclusions. I didn't think MOS would cost that much more than Bane, certainly nothing close to IM and I was just going off of past releases of similar-ish figures. It is safe to say that BATMAN and penguin will be close to $300. I think well see michelle for around $200

I could see Batman and Penguin being around $250ish. Catwoman probably a little less depending on what she all comes with. I assume she'll just have a regular suit but it's possible they may also do the battle damaged variant of her.

Well, she'll have multiple hands, a whip and possibly a tazer. So she'll be atleast $194.99 or whatever the Hathaway one is priced at. That doll only has the pistol.

If Hot Toys makes the Returns Catwoman a DX, who knows what the absurd pricing will be. Look at Mime Joker, he comes with some small, feather pens and that sucker is $230.


Essentially, they'll charge whatever they want and by the time these come out, "whatever they want" might mean $300.

I think a lot just depends on who the actor is and what they charge to use their likeness. Isn't Nicholson supposedly pretty expensive?

Here are my two problems with delaying this release. Keep in mind these are my "collecting" problems. I am married with children you know....

My "estimated" money has been put away for Batman Returns. Problem is the money was put away "Circa January 2012". So in today's HT collecting world I might be a little shy in the "Returns" funds.

My other issue...

I am a "picky" collector. All the HT's I own can be seen on my banner below But as I wait with no new words I might start to feel the HT withdrawal. Thats when I decide to purchase things I never planned on i.e. DX11 Joker (but in my defence I got a great deal with a couple of trade ins).




And now I start to look at Scar Predator.....Hurry HT and release the BR line

With the classic stuff though, I'll wear the price - as long as the budget allows. These films have some of the best characters in the comic book film genre - not to mention they're much beloved. That's where HT has those concerned by the cajones.

I'd LOVE to see a DX with a second torn mask head, whip, tazer etc - plus that Max Shrek cat face logo as a motif for the DX display base.

With the classic stuff though, I'll wear the price - as long as the budget allows. These films have some of the best characters in the comic book film genre - not to mention they're much beloved. That's where HT has those concerned by the cajones.

I'd like to see a Skywalker style DX for The Penguin, with both the union suit and mayoral tuxedo represented, multiple hands (gloved, ungloved), PERS, and alternate smiling/growling heads. Oh and a **** ton of umbrellas (including the cute one). $300 easy.

I know.. but I'd be cool with whatever works well for the first release, to be honest.
