Hot Toys Announce Batman Returns License

I'm excited to see these figures, but these ones might be secondary market buys for me in the next few years. If they turn out anything like the 89 figures, I'd want them, believe me, but, between Arkham, and 66, and Man of Steel, and the SSC DC stuff, this line is feeling more and more like it'll have to wait.

Obligatory corporate lie. Batman Returns was announced much earlier than either Avengers or Iron Man 3. They just can't admit that this along with other lines went to the backburner because they're not the priority.

I'm fine with either 66 figures or Batman Returns this year, but not both. I want to buy all of them, but can't afford too much at once. I'm probably more excited to own the Returns figures, especially since Mattel will be giving me a 66 fix come July.

I was at the Tokyo Toy Show today and Hot Toys had a really cool booth set up. NO freaking Batmobile though!! But the Tumbler was on display.

I asked a rep about Batman Returns and he said it was still coming. He used the words "Michelle Pfieffer" and "The Penguin." So don't give up hope people!!

He also said the 89 Batmobile would be out this month!

(RoboCop stuff was also not on display. Damn.)
