I've come close (especially around movie hype time like Avengers and Iron Man III). My problem though is, I only want one representation of him . . .

It's sort of difficult when there are hundreds of different versions of him to choose from. When I get to that point, I end up saying "**** it".
Mk IV - the only one worth owning.

You're welcome. :duff

if you guys stopped supporting all there lines, we would have had BR already. All of you immediately clamor for those Iron Man 3 variant suits...its no wonder why HT has not released BR yet. Next year will no doubt be more of the same and all of you cash cows will easily hand over your money without a moments thought.

Or they'd, ya know, just go out of business if people didn't support the other lines....

No, if they catered to the fans they would sell even more, but because people are mindless and will just buy the "next big thing" or whatever movie is coming out that, nowadays, will be forgotten in four to five months...I mean seriously...

...does anyone here actually believe we will be talking about Iron Man Variants and all the Iron man outfits from IM3 say 20 years from now; compared to Batman Returns, which still have a life and a longevity, compared to all the cookie cutter copy cat monthly super hero movies of today. The moronic responses I saw from people on the hot toys facebook page about all the IM3 outfits, there all like "Whoa, never saw IM3, but man, I am so dropping 300 plus for these figs because its brand new!"...who does that?! Mindless zombies!

Uhhhhhhm, I'm gonna go with MK1V2. The only IM figure I ever felt the need to buy because A- Great iconic scene, B- Figure Rocks. C- It was only $200. ( a lot of figure for that amount)

Fantastic post. I too feel HT buyers are somewhat in a "what's hip right now" bubble...and these new movies might not have the longevity of say a BR. Time will tell on that but it is a gamble.

Like Difabio, I'd live. If made and shown they become a must. If not, money saved. I guess I'm more and more of that attitude these days, albeit still less disciplined than Difab I would say.

well HT told me that there working on licensing once it is ironed out they will make them but it might not be until 15 or early 2016

Somebody at Hot Toys told you this directly? Who? Also, they couldn't "iron out" the licensing in the two-and-a-half ****ing years since they announced that they had the license and would be making 1/6 and 1/4 figures, or just wait until they'd done that before posting banners and ****?

Thank goodness they got that GI Joe Retaliation license worked out though!:slap

Yup, made it after I saw that one post in the Brometheus thread.

My favorite bit is at 2:16 - on.

You feeble human. Remember when you lost faith on the battle damaged T-800? *slaps a-dev up the back of the head*
