She'll have to put in a Heath Ledger level performance to dethrone Pfeiffer. She has yet to prove herself as an adult actress quite honestly. Pfeiffer ate that role alive. She put a live bird in her mouth for a scene.

Hathaway's got a great body and a pretty face, but that's not going to be enough. Pfeiffer wasn't the curviest but she was the sexiest. She had diamonds in those greedy eyes.

I will be very surprised if Hathaway can "dethrone" Pfeiffer. Stunned in fact.

Ras looks cool in that armor with the gauntlets and sword. As a figure, a Liam Neeson headsculpt, gas, mask and a suit to go up against everyone's Begins Batman is a no brainer.

Catwoman though looks so generic. Like your typical, black suited, 2000s, science-fiction, film chick. There's also this camp to it since they clearly used the 60s Newmar as inspiration. I don't think that works in a modern film that's meant to be taken seriously. Not the ball masquerade mask, not the techy goggles and certainly not the "practical" heel spikes.

I've given the look a chance ever since the Pittsburgh/Batpod pic, but with more and more revealed, it's clear to me what she looks like visually. I'm not about to spend $200+ on a figure of something I feel "meh" about just so I can "have them all".

Same with Bane.


Hell, even Scarecrow is bland as hell. In 2005 I always thought Crane was the weakest element of Begins. Not just his characterization, but his get up as well. A guy in a bland suit with a potato sack on his head. When he finally ends up becoming interesting at the end, he gets shot in the head and goes off screaming into the darkness. I ended up getting him though because I got the set for an extremely good deal. If I can snag Bane and Catwoman for cheap, like $100 - $150 cheap, then I might pull the trigger.


You gotta admit Maglor, Bane and Catwoman, visually, don't hold a candle to the TDK Ledger Joker, '89 Nicholson Joker, TDK Two-Face, Returns Catwoman or Returns Penguin.

To each his own. I think Scarecrow is a kickass figure. And I can't wait to have the full rogues gallery.

I don't get the hate for Banes costume design, I think it looks really cool and would look great on the shelf! I can already picture wanting 2-3 of him to do his different looks

Although one will be enough for me.

Do you guys see it possible to have visuals of the Returns figures at this years Comic Con? Or do you think it will drag and disappear like.....Joker 2.0, Sleepy Hollow, Green Lantern, Chick from Pirates of the Caribbean along with many other license.....

I would love if HT teased us with “work in progress” like Enterbay Men in Black!!!

I think there's a very real chance that this could be Hot Toys big reveal at this year Comic Con, it's surely going to be this line or Arkham City and either way I'll be happy

I'm going to say August or the beginning of Fall. Not a release mind you, but a reveal and specs/preorder.

I bet they have them out around the time the Batmobile gets released. Makes sense to me.

I doubt they give us variations or different suits. It'll probably be a one and in his "regular" look. We'll be lucky if we get a onesie undersuit.

The Penguin is the only one I will be getting. I don't have a creepy, short and ugly character in my HT display and I think he will fit that role just fine!!!

Still, Boss and Snake on a shelf isn't as powerful as say, '89 Batman and '89 Joker, or the Bat, the Cat and the Penguin.

I like where you come from though Nova, whereas I like a select few things like Batman, Terminator, Robocop, etc. you pretty much have your hands in all of it. There is no prejudice between Batman Returns or Metal Gear Solid, or Avatar and the Avengers, you collect it all.
