So, let me get this straight? If anyone says anything that even remotely implies that they dislike an aspect of the Burton films, you get to bite their head off, yet it's okay for you to completely trash Nolan's films? Wow, please leave. You always seem to find a way to create a conflict between people (which is the definition of trolling), you tell people to "suck my wong" when you get angry, and you dress up like Batman...Hmmmmmm. "I sense strong maturity in this one."

I know, go figure right?

The really mind numbingly stupid part of that reply, is that it's not even true.

I have said many times...even directly to him that I really like the Burton films...I have them on VHS, Widescreen VHS, Laserdisc, DVD and Bluray, I have two sets of HT '89 Tim Burton BATMAN and JOKER figures.

What's more, I am fully on board for the full set of BATMAN RETURNS figures whether they turn out to be the the Bat, Cat, the Bird and the crook, or just the Bat, the Cat and the Bird. :dunno

Sadly, BF just cannot see that he is a bit of a joke around here now, and whilst I personally will not be putting anyone on my 'ignore' list (everyone has the right to their opinion, even if it is a totally closed-minded one like BF's, and even though I don't agree with it) these days I either laugh at his posts or just end up scratching my head in bemusement over them.

and i am done with your nolan worship. :wave

No hell, I am done with this. It's time to put up or shut up.

Find me one post....ONE POST...where I singlehandedly bash Burton's films and raise Nolans on a pedestal. Come on. Just. One. Post.

Find just one...or shut up firing that ridiculous lie at me.

Find one post,
Or apologise,
Or I will be reporting you to the moderators.

*insert MJ eating popcorn GIF here*

In this case, I think this is better...

I miss him already. :monkey2

SO HOW BOUT DEM BATMAN RETURNS FIGURES?

Every time this gets bumped I think there's something new.

WOW! I haven't been in here for @ a week. I have to assume his original posts have been deleted since they were vulgar and abusive toward other members.:dunno

Sad to think anyone could take things that personally. Especially considering this forum is for toys.

As far as the actual topic of this thread, I am 100% all in for Catwoman and Penguin. I will have to see if the minor differences in the Batman and Batman Retrurns suits are enough to spend $200+. Of course, they will probably include a Keaton HS to lure us to HAVE to get it.

Hmm I'm definitely interested in Penguin and Catwoman. Can't say I'd be interested in a Max Schreck figure. I'm also probably going to pass on a Batman from this film... I just don't see the appeal in this suit. 89' Batman looks more like a comic book Batman... This one... Not so much

I don't understand batfreak's point about the '89 suit not fitting in with the other movie suits. Um... maybe that's because the other ones don't look a thing like the comic book? If there's one thing you can say about the original Keaton Batman, it's a happy medium between comic book simplicity and movie realism.

Catwoman and Penguin are buys for me, though. Having them next to the original Bats and Joker would be a dream.

And I will cave INSTANTLY if it come with a Keaton HS and a torn cowl!

That should almost be a given! Torn cowl with a revealed Keaton hs! :) And of course, Catwoman Pfeiffer will probably be my first female HT figure! We might even get a smiling Keaton who knows?!

As i still see it, there's still a big diff. with the costumes from 89 to 92 so, what the heck, might as well take the plunge for the big guy as well!

Proper Batman logo for one!

This diorama would be certainly most awesome!

When did he post that? I don't see it. What did I miss? :)

You missed nothing really. Just Batfreak being typically Batfreak. It's a shame that someone should spout all that vitriol and spite over something like BATMAN, surely something the likes of which should really draw fans together?

When I posted and wrote that I did not understand him...I was serious!

Now, back on topic....

That's a good point actually and are why I prefer the '89 version out of the two. The '...Returns' version is so much more like the more recent versions of BATMAN because it is clearly just a suit of armour, with the protective plates being much more obvious.

But the '89 version was a much more in-character design really, it showed that Bruce Wayne was really trying go for scares rather than practicality when he designed it. When they went for practicality over scares as a part of the movie design process, it lessened the character a little, I feel.

Am I still going to buy it? You Betcha!! :yess:
