From SDCC the outfits are done, its just the headsculpt that probably isn't ready as it was the one from the First movie. I am really surprised they didn't try to push this at opening weekend though

I get the feeling they were a bit overwhelmed with Batman and Avengers this summer. Expendables is a secondary license.
Finally got around to seeing The Expendables (1, not 2) this weekend. Great movie.
I'm actually thinking about getting one of these. It would help balance out all the Batman stuff ... right now I have 9 1/6 figures, 5 of them are Batman ... and, I've got three more Batman figures on order. I need to come up with a bit more not-so-Batman stuff.
Expendables would be cool, especially if they did more than just Stallone. Maybe a good Rambo if they ever do one. It'd be nice if they came out with another large-scale license I was on board with (like COD). Or maybe a couple of smaller licenses (Justified, Walking Dead, whatever).

Strange though whereas before when awaiting a figure i want, it's been just a case of waiting for the P.O. But now it's waiting for the final specs/pics just as before but also awaiting to see if it's not grossly overpriced too

But I have to agree, I don't know what is up with this figure. I mean they struck while the iron was hot for Avengers and TDKR. Expendable's window is shrinking. I'm not expecting more than another Barney from them this time, but would gladly take anyone else too really. This could be an epic license if they'd do the Avengers type annoucement and say they're making the whole team! We'll still be lucky to get the Statham and Li they said were coming from the last film

indeed, on both points.
I like lots of foods, a platter of choices to grab abit of each from and enjoy (check my P.O's im my sig, lots of scales and license variety). Hot toys on the other hand likes the same meals day in day out, meals that's i've tasted quite extensivley and have grown tedious of.
Expendables is one of those foods i like the taste of. It was on the menu on the window outside, but not on the menu inside or available to order

The whole point of these movies is the awesome cast. And that awesome cast would make for an awesome set of figures

I would rather see the cast in the character/outfits they are known for. Not the generic bland black outfits from Expendables. Also, do not want them old.
Avengers? TDKR? They all fall to sixth place eventually. It opened #1 here in the USA for TWO WEEKS in a row. The only other movies in recent months that have done that have indeed been made by HT
But here in America, we love violent movies. Not so much in Europe. You guys would rather have nudity

its only number one two weeks in a roll in USA because there are no other movies that can challenge it. as much as I am for the film and franchise the sequel did not meet box office expectations. Im still puzzled why its not doing as well as the first.

What did they expect? The plot is simple as the middle finger, old characters got no development (mockery of Dolph's real education is yet another gag and doesn't count), completely senseless young pal with his pointless death and bad actress for supporting role instead of Jet Li...

I see where they're coming from though, wanting to strike on the Avengers and TDK licenses while they're hot. That caters straight to the ADHD generation. The people who love Expendables have loved the characters for decades now and aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
