Unfortunately it seems that this line may get shelved....How sad :monkey2

you cant really blame Hot Toys, I mean go into the Movie Discussion forum and the Expendables 2 thread is buried somewhere. theres no passion for this line not on the part of Hot Toys but of the fans. it doesnt help how a lot of you said when they showed initial pics of Barney 2 that you wont buy it because its recycled from first. blame yourselves and just enjoy the minimates from Diamond Select.

There's no interest in buying the same character we ALREADY got from the first film when there's nearly a half dozen other characters they could have introduced. They said there would be a Gunner after Dolph expressed that he wanted them to use his likeness. Where is it? Where's Trench? Church? Christmas? Caesar?

If they wanted to make one Stallone figure then forget The Expendables and give us some Cobretti.

Yeah pretty sure if Hot toys had teased the team like the Avengers, there would be more interest,But people still feel shafted from the first release only getting one figure.

The first Barney Ross was perfect for me.
Hence, why i wouldnt buy another one if its just recycled bits.
But i WOULD buy some of the other guys.
Doesnt suprise me if they shelve this line.

Any of them would rock. Totally agree with the whale, maybe some teasers would have kept it afloat, but I would add an Expendables lineup to my collection in a heartbeat.

Flopped?

Did it make less money than it took to produce? Because that's the only way it was a flop.

NO ONE expected this to make a billion $, so why is it that because it didn't there's only a small prospect for figures? :cuckoo:

Ignore the morons.

It cost $100M
It is currently at $172M and counting...most likely will finish its theatrical run around $200M.

Thats nowhere near Avengers/Avatar numbers but if it doubles its investment its a success to the studios.

Which means we'll see another one! :yess:

The fact they were talking about a third one before this one was even released meant they were going to do one unless this just bombed horribly, which it didn't.

at the start of this year I have put aside 2,000$ that would only be used for entire 1/6 Expendables line, it's too bad Hot Toys will only get 1/10 of it. Anne Hathaway figure before Arnold, Bruce, Jean Vilain. imagine if Rosie O Donnell was in a DC film.

lulz that's just gibberish.
Do you think a single person beileves you put away $2000 'only (to) be used for entire 1/6 Expendables line'

well its really Hot Toys' loss then since I can go ahead and get the Lucky Ring from Good Art then but I have to save up some more. really who would be silly enough to only buy the all sterling silver one when the screen worn one was gold and silver?

:goodpost:

There is little to talk about because HT has provided little to talk about. I'm positive there are lots of sale for this line if HT actually bother to make figures to take those sales.

Last year i put aside $4,600 for a ton of X-Men, Metal Gear, Tron, Sucker Punch and Green Lantern figures, i could only spend around $600 :lol
