Have to say that comic gold look really doesn't look good live action. To be honest it never looked good in the comics either. He looked better in JL.

Gotta disagree. But that's probably because I hated the aesthetic of the previous movies (save for Batman and Wonder Woman, mostly). Flash and Cyborg in particular looked way too visually busy, imo.
Here we go again. We probably won't get a single figure from this movie made.

Social media embargo has been lifted. Positive so far. One guy even said better than Wonder Woman. It hits all the right spots and it’s a fun action packed ride.
Can’t wait till the 15th. Hopefully this means they start to rush out the JL line to make room for aquaman. Gonna pre order gold suit Aquaman once he hits.

Not surprised at all by the good reviews with James Wan directing. News of the DCEU's demise was always exaggerated, Shazam will likely continue the trend.
Critics hated Snyder more than anything else and WB just made a colossal mistake trying to change course mid movie bringing Whedon on board with JL.

If Josh didnt tamper with the JL film it would have been a easier watch. MOS,BvS & WW are all great films with the first 2 getting silly hate.
Hopefully now next few films get some love and we get Supweman and Batman casting re/casting news.
Yes sorry, that was what I was trying to say. They should have left Snyder to complete his vision on JL. Critics will never like him but at least fans of the first two films would have got a trilogy that made sense before the course change.
A lot of Marvel mentions in the reviews, that's clearly more the tone WB are going for now. I don't mind with characters like Aquaman and Shazam but really hope it's not a one size fits all approach. Other characters need a very different tone, not least Batman.
Fingers crossed this movie takes big numbers at the box office and convinces HT to go deep on this line. They need to revise the Aquaman prototype but it's Mera and Black Manta I want to see most right now.
Ocean Master would be cool to, HT need to start giving us more villains.

Snyder would have finished JL if he hadn't had a family tragedy which prevented him from doing so. I agree that Whedon made things worse as the tone was inconsistent and the reshoots were awful, however it's just one of those unfortunate turns of fate that couldn't be avoided

You really felt for that? He stepped aside after month or so after that tragedy. It was only for media and his sake to state this reason, they booted him plain and simple.

I'm really happy it's being received well - and it fits his character. He was sort of that jokey person in Justice League, so no problem with it at all. I just hope WW remains consistent with her appearances in BvS, JL and more importantly WW. I'm also hoping Batman won't change it's feel, I'm sure it won't as it's Matt Reeves, his work shows he can do a great Batman. So more than that, if there's another Justice League I hope they blend all of them into one really well. I feel like Batman in an ensemble would be the outlier, as I can see a Flash film being more light like Aquaman.
I just hope they keep their visual style and not have it look like a TV show like Marvel films.

WB should get Wan on board for more DC movies. I'd love to see him direct a Superman movie and having seen his Conjuring movies he could easily handle the more gothic tone required for any of the Bat family characters.
Don't really care about more cross over movies. Just give us great stories for each character in a loosely connected universe. Can't wait to see this movie in a couple of weeks.
