Quick question: if this was a 1/6 statue instead of an articulated figure, would the price be fair?

I don't collect statues so in regards to price, I don't how much they go for and what factors affect the price.

I like the figure a lot and don't regret one bit getting this instead of the Bespin Luke. And when I compare it to the Enterbay GOD behind the scenes which I almost bought for $350 and was nothing like the proto, I feel this Pred, with the cool dead Alien body base, is a better deal.

I'm curious to see how this will turn out to be, not just the actual production figure, but in terms of sales and future value as well.

Me too, there are collectors like myself who do like this and would buy it if the price was in-line with the reat of their work in this range.

If this was equal or a bit more (cos it's very detailed) in cost to the Classic Predator i'd order it.

How many potential customers are they losing because of the over-inflated price?

I am a fan of Japanese art and I don't like this...

Best post in this pathetic thread...

It's fair as it is TBH. This wasn't made for the U.S. market or its collectors. It's similar to HT figures like 'The Friend' or the two 'City Hunter' figures. People need to remember: this figure will be available all over because it's Predator related, but it was made specifically for Asia because that's where the target audience is i.e. the collectors who are already familiar with the designers (Takeya & Oniki) and their style of products (FEWTURE Models).

For us here, it would be the equivalent of someone like Jim Lee joining up with HT to create an original design for an existing character/license for a 1/6 scale figure. With that artists design/name attached to the figure the price would obviously go up.

I can't stop watching the pics of the figure. I would like to see them in a different backgrund. Like a full moon, grassland. Similar to the Falconer and Yakuza fight.

Thanks for the response. When I compare this to the Ultimate Unison Jack Sparrow and Luke Skywalker, the price feels even better.

Although I'm not liking it very much, which is mainly due to the "horse mouth", I would consider it at a much better price... it's unique among the other predators for sure. I will keep watching this and will see reviews when released (and possible price drops).

Hatred of Samurai armor, you mean? I don't recall saying I hated everything about them..just hate the goofy looking armor.
