Now that I would've bought , but not for >$300 though. No thanks, Big Red is the only Samurai Predator for me. I've just never been a huge fan of the Fewture Predators. I had the Pred on horse, and it was cool, just wasn't cool enough to make room in my collection for, but it is a very interesting concept.

I saw it at bbts too. Price isn't low enough though. Hot toys could keep the stand and sell it for 250. Then I'd probably want it AFTER the holidays. I can't justify spending that much money on myself right now.

Awesome figure.

He'd become the leader of my pred clan...but not for that price.

Maybe he should CUT DOWN on inflation with that samurai sword.

I don't follow the Predator franchise (except the original movie). Was this Pred in any film or are they just making it up as they go? Did he have some special role to justify this price?

Meh. At $350, that's a steep price for a character that never appeared in any of the films. Hardly even resembles a Predator, imo. More like a fantasy monster, like from D&D or something. It's still cool and congrats to any who are happy with the announcment but this is a big pass for me. Methinks the predator well has run dry.

Not in any film. It's just an artistic interpretation of The Predator from two well known HK artists.

I'm loving everything about this figure except for the price, I hope it can go lower, but I doubt it.

There was a time when I had that kind of cynicism, but I grew out of it...




....15 years ago.

I always liked humans. I just wondered why there are so few of them on the planet. 15 years later, I know why.

Because that's the only "Predator" license HT has. Same reason Machiko was released as a "AVP Movie Masterpiece" figure even though that character isn't in that movie either.

I thought she was originally solicited as the first figure in the Hot Angel line. (Not that they ever made more than two of those, but...) I assumed that the AVP on the promo pics and box was just license tagging.

It was both.. she was part of the never-was Hot Angel line but in order for HT to make the figure to begin with (since it used Predator stuff) it had to be under a Predator/Fox license (since that character is part of the comic book). So they just slapped on "AVP" like they did with this figure. But neither are featured in the movies that they're licensed under.
