Well...I only have one payment left on the Samurai Pred and hopefully my final payment next month will also be the month he will finally be shipping.
I just recently got into Sideshow's PF sculpts only a few months ago and must say I do love the size of a 1/4 or even a 1/5 scale sculpt over the 1/6 scale figures. I was a collector of only the 1/6 scale figures for about 2 years before I was finally talked into getting a true sculpt from Sideshow's PF line. I will try and make this short,lol, I have every single 1/6 scale Predator that Hot Toys has put out except for the AVP line. I sold the original predator being that I now have the new body type Predator 1 and also sold the Guardian Predator to put towards more Sideshow sculpts.
Anyway I decided to jump on the new Predator line from Sideshow from Alien VS Predator: Requiem...2 that are included are the "Predator Bad blood" which I have Pre-Ordered...and another one that I am really digging, the 1/5 scale "Wolf Predator Ex. Version".
I am thinking about pulling the trigger on this Pre-Order to put towards the 1/5 scale Wolf Predator Polystone Statue instead. Actually the 1/5 scale statue is a little cheaper but not by much.
I guess I just need some people here to talk me out of this and why should I keep my order for the Samurai Predator if I am now into the larger scale Polystone Sculpts?
I must say even though this is a 1/6 scale Figure... he does look badass.
Well...I do not believe the 1/5 scale Wolf Predator will be coming out until March of 2013 so that should give me way more time than I need to save up for a decently priced $300.00 Sculpt.
Heck with it I'm keeping my order for the Samurai I just went back and looked at some of the pictures again. My philosophy with Sideshow and Hot Toys...one can never have too many Predators in their collection. Cannot wait until next month.

This piece is very expensive. I'm extremely excited but twingeing a little bit aswell .I think this predator piece needs to be a step up from from anything we have seen in the past . And not just for the fantastic stand that comes with this piece. Although all the detail with the alien base is like getting another figure in and of itself. I do have very high expectations for this piece. I'm counting on you to hot toys !

It had multiple xenos slaughtered with the Samurai predator on top of the pile.

One thing that could be done if this gets parted out on ebay would be to buy a few Alien heads and an extra base, then try to remove the Alien carcass from one base and put it on the other and put some of the heads around.

Of all the Predators that came out after the double cannon 1st Version of Wolf, I think this one will be the first non-exclusive release that will skyrocket in value in the future.
The reception for this wasen't a smash hit. Even here in Hong Kong, not alot of people pre-ordered it because of the price. I mean... its almost the same price as the Tumbler on its first inital release.
Orders are low, lower quantities are made, and the fact it is a special collaboration of artists this will be rarer to find in the long run. Once this guy is sold out, and second market prices rocket sky high, I will kick back and enjoy the comments for ppl wishing they got him at the time, and people begging for someone to sell one to them at retail price.
That being said..... its almost been a year long wait !! Hopefully we'll see this released in the next 2-4 weeks !
