Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

Im not a video game player but this will go great with the other highly stylized period costume characters in my collection. Leonidas, Storm Warriors... good stuff. Hope the price is small.

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

I wonder how many Star Wars collectors will be buying this to customize this guy:

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

Ah! Of course.

Funny thing is, I played the game all the way through (including bonus levels) and I only recall one of those looks.

:dunno Eh.

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

I think Ezio looks like one of the best Hot Toys figures to date, made all the more impressive due to the complexities of executing such an intricate costume. I'm very much looking forward to seeing if we will get a couple more Ezios down the line with different coloured outfits, different expressions and upgraded armour and weaponry.
The hood was always going to be a contentious issue as it's a very distinct part of the character. Personally I think the hood looks excellent, it never looked like it was made of a "thin" material in the game as it always seemed to have the weight to stay in place whilst fighting and free-running.

:exactly:...........I like how HT has videos now,and this is defn one of the FEW figs I plan on adding to the collection :yess:

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

I'd be content if what we see now is the final product, but the head sculpt could use a tweak here and there. But perhaps it's close enough. It's not too far off like the Prince of Persia figure or Jill Valentine.

Does anyone else find that Hot Toys' version of Ezio is more handsome? The HT sculpt is complimentary of Ezio's features.

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

I'd take some tweaks to the eyes but i'm not really fussed. Love everything about this! I find myself allowing a little differences to video game characters in terms of sculpts. I want them to look human afterall! That's why i'd love HT's take on Solid Snake, to see the human look they would give him.

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

This figure is now a must for me.

I've been playing this game the last three days and it is quite addicting and way way way better then the first one.In ways, actually like this better then Red Dead Redemption.

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

This is up now at BBTS. Someone needs to do an official spec thread! Unless we're waiting for Wookster and the big hi-res images!

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

Done a quick comparison between the game version and the figure.

This is more of what I want to see - like the promo. See how the head once it's covered with the hood just looks off. Needs to be slender and more defined I think. The chin and lower jawline is oddly shaped. The promo is square and risen while the figure looks to just drop right down to the neck. Needs to rise toward the ears and suck in, so to speak.

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

Would have been cool if they threw in these weapons as well.

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

Everything about this figure is really quite stunning!

Looks like the leg and foot parts of the boots are separate, leaving the ankle free for good articulation. :yess: The design of Ezio's boots hide's it well too. Either that or the boots are made of a more flexible material like on Batman or Goemon.

I hate stiff boots on 1/6 figures. Wide stances on a figure with stiff boots kills the realism.

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

The figure looks fantastic overall, but the outfit looks a bit bulky due to all the layers. The game version's outfit looks to be made of a thinner, silk-type material. I think if Hot Toys used a different fabric, better suited for all the layers, it would help the overall look.

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

Hopefully theyll make an altair as well.

Whoops! Looks like I'll have to go back slightly on what I've said. The outfit I still think is fine, all it needs is some futzing when in hand but I think Hot Toys have dropped the ball slightly with this headsculpt.
I don't know about anyone else but I see the in-game Ezio as Mediterranean, unfortunately the complexion of Hot Toys headsculpt looks far too Western. If Hot Toys were to tweak the sculpt I'd at least like to see a broader nose, darker eyes, a recessed scar and a corrected skin tone.

Re: Hot Toys Assassin's Creed II....

Where are the high res pics? Doesnt Wookster have a substitute? :impatient:
