I finally got a shipping notice.

I filed a help request with Sideshow about the status of my order appearing to be stuck. They assured me it was not, and then I got my shipping notice a few days later.

Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not. All that really matters is that I am finally getting this guy.

I think it's a coincidence. I was literally just about to hop back on the help chat yesterday when I got the email from Sideshow saying mine was shipping soon. Your Thanos was likely in the same batch as mine.

I'm so excited for this one! I tend to buy different variants of the same figures, so this one is super exciting for me. Just hope it's not lost somewhere. UPS keeps pushing the delivery date and there hasn't been movement since monday!! So we'll see.

Thanks to you and the others for posting such cool pics. I had to put all of my figures up in my attic for storage until I can complete my basement renovation, so it is nice to I get to enjoy pictures of others while Thanos and the rest of my figures are on ice

Can?t decide whether to get this version or the IW one

I really like the IW version but the choice is pretty easy. Armored is the way to go.

My local retailer still is not able to tell me the date when the Thanos will be here. I am starting to become impatient and sad. If I wasn't dumb, I would purchase pre-order it from TW that has him in stock already and for 100USD cheaper (by my local currency) but I already paid a deposit ..

Don't forget his shipping, though. And the annoyance of paying for shipment if there is an issue with the figure. I prefer a local retailer because I had enough issues in the past 10 years with figures (box, paint smudges, accessory missing, wrong stands, misprints etc.)

I love this guy, one thing to note though, attaching his right hand is difficult because his forearm armor gets in the way.

I get a little nervous manhandling the figure to get the hand attached, but it will probably be fine.

I had a problem with one HT figure, Tonto, whose body was cracked. I bought him locally, so no problem. But all my other HT has been perfect. But yeah, we have to consider it at least. Cause sending something BACK to HK will cost an arm and a leg. Still, just ordered my first figure from HK. Saved 1/4 of the cost (well, we will see, it I have to pay customs, I'll be paying the same).

Yeah delivery companies suck- I just saw one delivery van stop out in the street today.

They sat there for 15 minutes smoking a cigarette in the truck and then drove on somewhere else. Didn't even get out !

I had ordered a statue that weighed maybe 50lbs. I was home the day of the delivery, pre-signed for the package online with note to leave it at the front door. Sitting in my home office getting some work done, when my security cam goes off. Check the video and see that it's the UPS guy, with no package in hand. I go to the front door, open it up, and see a "sorry, we missed you" sticker on the door. So I hop in my car and catch the UPS guy at his next stop to get my statue. Guess he just didn't want to deal with lifting a heavy package that day.
