Well she doesn't sport any weapons or other gadgets, so unless they get creative it will be hard to justify charging much more than that. Maybe they'll throw in a "sleeping" Thanos sculpt with his eyes rolled back in his head so we can pose her sitting on his shoulders. lol

Yeah that would be a shame. I really liked the character and the Proto looked really great! Fingers crossed.

She will definitely be one of the slimmer -- in terms of stuff -- figures produced by HT. I imagine that's part of the problem. I don't think they want to make an under $200 figure anymore... so the trick is coming up with price justification.

She didn't even get a secondary outfit or anything, did she? Thanos head would be interesting, as would an Ego blob tentacle or something. Maybe she'll get a complex base that includes part of Ego's planet or his skeleton rising from the ground. Probably not though. Maybe they'll wait for GOTG3 and see if she gets any weapons.

It's one of the funniest parts of the girl power shot in endgame when you see Mantis start to march with the other female heroes, what is Mantis going to do, tell the villains how they are feeling?

Even though they showed her at SDCC I have little hope that they are actually going to make her. I feel more and more tempted to buying the bullet head version before prices rise, but hold onto a little bit of hope that she goes up on hot toys everyday. Its very tough trying to hold off.

Back when she was shown at SDCC, weren't you the one that floated the idea of having her antennae light up? If they can make that happen, that could be HT's price justification right there.

Yep totally agree. This and they've got plenty of time until GotG 3. Same goes for Drax. They showed him with a laughing headsculpt too. Wouldn't be surprised if they both have more of a role in GotG (especially with Bautistas support of Gunn during the whole firing thing, plus Pom seems to be a pretty close friend. Shes been in a lot of Gunns Instagram posts of late).

I know the script is already writen but things can always be slightly modified.

I have faith both figures are coming, just not any time too soon. Don't even want to count how many years I've been waiting on a decent Drax. What's another year or two at this point

If HT is waiting for the next movie in 2022 to release Mantis and another Drax it would be 2023 at the earliest we would have them in hand.

Hoody might be upset if the only changes with Drax is the HS and accessories after waiting that many years

Well I would still sorely love a Hellboy type upper torso and arms for Drax. You'd think they would sell as many V2 Drax's as Hellboy's to justify the tooling for that ???

Anyway, time is the healer of all wounds, and if it's simply a new HS and a different coloured pair of pants (oh and a different gun) and the same old skinny Drax body then so be it. I'll make it work like the rest of us have

I bought the original GotG Drax a few months ago just to place hold in my Infinity War collection until the new Drax. Once I got him and set him up I was quite pleased and surprised with how he looked on the shelf. Yeah, the body is a bit thin, but overall, I think it's a pretty nice figure. Glad to have him in the collection. Since I don't have a Mantis, I need that once released sooner than 2023 dang it!
