Is it just me... Or did Captain America seem to be the most underpowered superhero out of all the recent Marvel films? He seems to have nothing that would give him an advantage over someone like Thor (who actually seems overpowered lol). I'm surprised Thor doesn't wield both his hammer and Cap's shield lol

They both seemed "correctly-powered" to me. The super soldier serum doesn't make him that much stronger than a fit human male. It just makes someone significantly stronger, faster, etc than an average human. He's no where near Thor's power level. He's not even on par with Spidey. He's just a great tactical fighter/leader. Remember the serum was not developed to be used on one person, it was meant to be used on an army.

Don't forget he threw that Hydra soldiers over the tank. Pretty superhuman to me.

Captain America = human on steroids
Thor = god

Seem correctly powered for what they are.

While Captain could defeat Batman (as shown on Avengers Vs JLA) there is NO WAY he is smarter than Bats! As superheros go, it doesn't get much smarter than Bruce.

Never said he was. i simply said they are mirrors of each other in hero archetype. They both have things that each has over the other. Batman is more of a " just as planned" intelligent hero. he thinks of everything.

Cap is more of a thinking on his feet intelligent hero. he comes up with plans on the spur of the moment to meet the challenges as they hit him.

Bruce, on the other hand, thinks of every possible outcome and makes plans of what he will do if blah happens in advance.

and TBQH, I'm not 100% certain who would win a fight between the two of them.

Oh ok. I just figured they were somehow all supposed to be roughly equal in terms of power and ability. I'm just wondering how Thor will handle bullets flying at him seeing as how the other 3 can easily take them.

Anyone think Red Skull will be back? Not really familiar with the avengers concept, but do they only take on one villain or do the bad guys team up against the avengers?

Thor can twirl his hammer to deflect bullets.

Red Skull WILL be back. With him going through the wormhole at the end, I'm sure Loki will find him.

I think Thor and Hulk are pretty much immune to bullets, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers will die just like a normal human if they actually get shot, that's why they need a way to block them...

Thor can easily deflect bullets. In Secret Wars they were in their base and Iron man said the rain is coming down like .45 rounds and would easily kill a normal person, Thor was standing on top of the roof chilling in it..
