same here...regular guy (filthy rich) with a fancy suit and gadgets...battling his own demons...yada yada yada

exactly, they make act a little different but still :lol

except Iron man builds a full on battle suit with weapons and fights terrorists and other armored enemies... and batman builds a high tech suit and fist fight street thugs, and throws this at them, oh i forgot he has a rope too :lol

Ive never been a big Batman fan, he is the most overrated superhero by far. Wait, he's NOT a superhero, only a man.

I always imagined Batman being the DC's Version of Cap. He's the very best of what a human being can be. Cap is Batman without the money LoL. Even in the JLU/Avengers cross-over Cap, they put Cap against Batman

I always thought Tony Stark was more of the Batman of Marvel

they're simular, but i'd not say they are the paralles to each other. Blue Beetle is more of the Iron man of DC.

Scientist, Engineer, Powered suit, Etc.

What's great about the Batman story though is the Villains.. Batman has the best Villains in comic book history IMO.

That is true, some good villians and a great story. Personally, however its the idea of superheroes having unnatural strength and powers that draws me into them. To me, a smart guy with really cool gadgets just isnt enough to keep me interested. If DC had given Batman super speed or something like Spider-mans intuitive spider sense I would be more interested in him. Its the fun of comic books, escaping the reality of limited human abilities.

I was looking at this new movie artwork and thinking how many of these Hot Toys will make into figure?
Personally I'd like to see all seven of them. I think they'd all make really good figures.

Do you think we'll see all of these made?

The silver sections on Iron Man's armor look even more odd than the Mark-VI.

My thoughts also Sachiel. Also why has he reverted back too the round chest piece?

More then likely they will start with what they had previously made before ie Thor, iron man, widow since they will not have to start from scratch.

if sales hold well they can move on to rest

I like the Hulk better in this pic than in the previous Avengers art. Looks a bit more like the Norton Hulk here! :)

In terms of HT figs; I'd most likely buy an Avengers Black Widow, Hulk and Hawkeye.
Thor only if they make the sleeveless look, because this one looks too much like the one already released. Same goes for IM. Perfectly happy with my Mk IV.
As for Cap... I like the WWII costume better, so I'll probably just leave it at that.

It looks like the Mark VII would be a no brainer being that it looks like they can recycle everything below the Mark VI's waist.

I might be wrong but I don't think HT will make all the characters in the picture. I will be surprised if it happens.

I can see them making Cap, Iron Man,Thor, Widow and Hulk.

I just want Black Widow.

I don't think they will make Fury or Hawkeye.

I think we'll see all of these. I would even go as far as saying we might see the first images of one of these at Xmas. We saw previews of Thor and Cap months before the movies were released.

I have this crazy theory about Iron Man in the Avengers. I'm probably wrong. I think that Stark is not Iron Man, at least early in the film. I think this because the suit pictured in promo artwork has a round chest RT. It's not inconceivable, but given how purpose-driven the suit designs are, I don't thing they would go back to a circle without reason. You also clearly see a triangular RT in some shots in the post-credits Captain American footage. Additionally at the end of IM2, Fury tells Stark they want Iron Man but not Stark in the Iron Man suit himself.

My belief in this theory is further bolstered the more I see the new Mark7 suit.

Mark III concept for reference:

War Machine, if you knew where to look, was clearly build on top of the Mark II and even had parts of the Mark II still peaking out. This new Mark 7 really looks like it was either built on the Mark III chasis or at least based on the Mark III design. Saunders even appears to have re-used some of the design ideas for the "snap on" weapons kit for the Mark III which was never used in the final film. Most notably the larger silver weapons pods on the shoulders and the silver plates on the front of the thighs.
