He really needs the chin strap, it made him look more rugged. Evans has no jaw line. However i will say I loved the way he portrayed Cap/Steve Rogers.

I think when i get Avengers Cap, I will switch the head and belt with WWII.

Agreed. I also think the mask makes him look like he's got a bowling ball head which is worsened by the fact that (as bulky as Evans may be) he doesn't look the size of the actual cap from the comics. I don't mind the size difference, as Evans is big enough and plays the part well. But they need to compensate with the proper suit design. This is why I would have preferred a helmet-over-a-face-mask appearance. His appearance in his solo film was near perfect for my tastes.

Still, there's always post-production. Wonder how it will look when they're done.

Its the same helm he had in his own movie. Not sure really why its only now bugging some folks.

Yeah theres some slight differences like the ear pieces being blue now instead of brown and there being no chin strap, but it's largely the same.

That's actually a pretty good description.

The thing that makes the new helmet look so big, is that it sits high on his face. Look at the TFA helmet under the eyes, they pull the mask section down below his nose, just like caps mask in the comics.

The new mask on the Avengers helmet sits on top of his cheeks and cuts in.

A small change that has a huge impact on the overall look.

You're right, it's less goofy and down right horrible. I will be getting the WW II version (Don't care for the USO version either) and he'll stand in for my Avengers Cap as well.

I'll stick with my Black Widow and Thor versions I already have, but I know I'll probably will be getting Nick Fury, Hawkeye, and the Hulk (Who should be "HUGE" and "EXPENSIVE") if they're offered.


And probably an Ironman MK 7 if there is one. Got to keep up with the up-grades.
