Hot Toys - Back to the Future - 1/6 DeLorean Time Machine

Not much of anything for the last 8 months. I can only afford 1 Delorean, and the part II Delorean is the one I want. But the more time that goes by without Hot Toys promoting part II makes me think it may not happen. I may just get the part I before the price on it skyrockets. I'm hoping they show something next month at SDCC.

Im sure it will be at sdcc. Im hoping to see doc but im not counting on it. If anything we will see the new marty headsculpt. If the part 2 delorean ever happens, I will be getting that also

sad thing is, if the mr fusion one happens, you probably wont see it for at least a year after it goes up for pre order. Besides, HT are probably too busy with marvel, DC, star wars and a little bit of Alien stuff at present

Yeah. They're really alienating a lot of customers by only focusing on 3 lines. I wouldn't even mind the wait, as long as I knew for sure that it was coming. I've never heard of a company displaying and showcasing a product for a release, only to bury it away somewhere never to be heard from again.

I like Hot Toy's products... They just have some weird practices. Announcing products and not releasing them... Announcing the new Delorean before the first one has even shipped... some stuff gets announced and goes up for preorder shortly after... some... Not so much.

What's the USA's limit on import taxes? HLJ usually marks the item as whatever the original full price was.

Not sure. Haven't bought this big shipped from overseas.. Biggest one for me so far was Metal Gear Rex shipped from 3A.
I believe the limit is around $800 single item. I might be safe.

20% of stated value, but this includes the money you paid for postage. I have paid import taxes on everything i have ever ordered from them.
With the shipping to the UK being $120, the taxable value will be $590, give or take, so i reckon you'd have $120 on top to pay for customs charges. But... The page where i got this info says that customs charges are separate from import vat... So you might have to pay that $120 twice...
I reckon an easier method would be buying it and getting it sent to a mate in the USA. Then they get it and send it to you marked as a toy car and as a gift, and you then pay a secondary postage.
But it will get here with no problems and no charges.

Seriously though, i reckon this could be the bargain of the year. I have a friend in the US who distributes HLJ products, and i am considering asking him to pick one up for me and resend it as he did before with my original from Sideshow.
So i'd have one on show, and one to take apart and add a hover conversion to...
