Why do people feel the need to post unrelated things in this thread?

Because it's like "here's another stupid release Hot Toys is putting out when it could have been the Batmobile".

Atleast that's my take on it.

I touched on this in another thread. Four Leto Joker's for such a small amount of screen time seems like overkill while they still haven't released a single villain to accompany the 66 Batman and Robin figures and nothing beyond Batman for the Returns movie. Are they ever going to do a Pfeiffer Catwoman and DeVito Penguin to go with the Returns Batman. :dunno You wonder how long it would have taken them to do all four Ghostbusters had Blitzway not got that license.

Winston would've ended up like Drax :lol

As badly as I want a Batmobile, I can see why they wouldn't want to take the risk - it'll be expensive for them if it fails. However, I'm baffled as to why they aren't going with the other figures you mentioned. Pfeiffer Catwoman seems like a really safe bet.

:exactly: If the sculpt was good I'd be amazed if she didn't sell out in pre-order. With the popularity of the Joker they could have done more Nicholson and a Romero figure by now. I love Hot Toys figures and will continue to buy them but I don't understand why they half finish lines this way. I'd still like a Reeve Clark Kent and I'd even buy the three kryptonian villains from Superman 2 :lol

Reeve in full 70's style reporter outfit would make a really great figure, with the Superman top underneath so we have option to pose him doing the shirt rip. Obviously it's still a preposterous disguise but suspending disbelief his is still the only on screen Clark I've seen that doesn't just come across as Superman in glasses. Maybe Hot Toys will do an 2nd improved Reeve Superman figure someday with Clark in a two pack...but I wont hold my breath!

As camp and silly as Zod, Ursa and Non looked in those outfits I'd love to see them in 1/6 figures. I do still get a feeling of dread just before they appear in that moon scene. It's when they get to earth they become a bit more comedic and less threatening, still fond memories of Zod especially. BTW what is that posh English kid doing in a small, middle American town? "please Mr General sir put my daddy down". :lol

Sorry to derail this thread but looks like the most we'll ever get out of Hot Toys from this line is the Romero Joker.

Superman II is still the best in my eyes. Awesome battles and the best quotes ....."From the look of 'em, I'll bet ten dollars they're from Los Angeles." LOL

:rotfl Those two cops were hilarious.

For some reason during the Metropolis battle it always tickles me when that taxi driver stops and says "man this is gonna be good" instead of getting the hell outta there :lol and the guy on the phone who keeps talking even when the phone booth is getting blown half way down the steet. :lol

Another Reeve figure from HT would likely be a recycled one. Half assed to hell much like the BR one.

HT is now focusing on flavor of the month crap. I don't mind the VG series getting some love, but some variety would be nice once in a while.

We were lucky the 1989 Batmobile was made. The HT of today would never touch it.

Why? I thought the 89 sold well. A Pfeiffer Catwoman would be very popular, but they don't make it. Their approach to these lines doesn't make sense to me.

The 89 Batmobile had a lot of issues with it, largely due to the design of the car cover/packaging causing scratches on the paint during shipping. When it released the thread was post after post of disappointment.

Okay, wasn't aware of that. Only joined last year and just watched the YouTube unboxing reviews. Still think it sucks they abandon these lines half complete but release about 100 Iron Man figures a year.

This has been HTs MO for as long as I can remember. Going back to when they first started. Never completed the Lost Preds. Never completed the Galactic Marines. Never completed the Predator Strike Team. Never made Blade from...Blade. Never made Kaine from Robocop...or Clarence. Never made Ronan. Never made Nebula. Never made any Malakith. Never made John Conner. Never made a better Kyle Reese. Never made Ras Al Ghul. Never made a League of Shadows Bruce Wayne. Never made VG Arkham Joker...and on and on.

The most complete lines they've ever produced was the Avengers series and the Iron Man figs.

Lack of completion is par for the course for HTs.

This isn't happening. It's been too long. Batman and Robin were released ages ago. The Blu Ray hype has died down. The take a chance "Delorean" is still available at most stores that carry Hot Toys. The next vehicle they release will be the BVS/Justice League Batmobile.

I always wanted a Reeve figure with that ****-eating grin from the end of the movie, as he flies off into space. I adore the original figure and it's still one of the best figures I own, but, whenever I think of Reeve Superman, I think of that toothy smile and I'd love to see that represented in some capacity. It'd be a good way to differentiate between the original release and a new release. I wish DX didn't go the way of the dodo because I'd have loved a DX07 style two-pack with Clark and, like, a phone booth or something.

Honestly, I just wish HT did more with these older licenses. I'd love to see Riddler, Penguin, and Catwoman from this line (on top of the Romero Joker). I wish they'd have done more with 89, too. l still would like to see a new 89 Batman with the suit vault, and they could give him the "DX 12" treatment, replacing that rigid rubber suit with a more accurate lycra bodysuit with PVC plates. I used to think it'd be cool to get Bruce Wayne in his turtleneck and jeans look, but, honestly, after the Returns figure, I question whether or not they could pull it off, and, frankly, considering the fact that we now have 5 Leto variants in existence, 4 of which are available for purchase, I think it's ******* criminal that they didn't do more with Nicholson after the big fuss they made about being the only company that paid enough to get his likeness rights. Between his first appearance, the Museum scene, the Mob scene, and the Commercial scene, there was so much potential and they blew it.

All four Letokers will be available for a while imo. I think they really thought he would be popular and over estimated the demand for him imo. I hated his portrayal and look. Why hot toys decided to do them vs a Pfieffer Catwoman is beyond me, or a Craig Batgirl with her Batgirl motorcycle. That would be one helluva a DX imo. Where's Romero Joker at this point? Is he going to ever be released? If blitzway follows through with ecto 1 and it sells well, hopefully Howard will change his mind on the 66 batmobile. Would love to see another Nicholson Joker also. Sometimes I really wonder and question Hot Toys releases and non released also.

Agree with all of that, two figures from the CR movies is just nowhere near enough and I have no interest in the evil version anyway. They should be doing a lot more from the 66 and Keaton lines. I've only just looked at the first page of this thread and hadn't realised how far they'd gone with the 66 Batmobile. Far from just teasing it at a convention, wow that's really cruel of them to have still not made it four years later.

I think most will be available for a while to. It just seems like overkill giving him so many figures from a small part in one movie. If they make SS2 or he has a full part in a Batman movie he'll soon have more figures than Ledger and Nicholson put together. Crazy.
