The Fonz said it was good, so it must be.

That's why TDK is unique to this time and it's jaded audience. Today's audience lacks the imagination to appreciate movie magic and has to see it all for themselves. This is why there was no giant squid at the end of Watchmen, it's why Joker wears clown make-up and it's why all the mystique has been stripped from Batman.

I'd be willing to bet you'd sell out a midnight matinee faster with the '89 Batman than you would Batman Begins or TDK. In 20 years, it'll still be the same. You'll sell out a midnight matinee faster with '89 Batman than you would with Begins or TDK.

I would go see that 1989 mofo at midnight in a milisecond :lol

Then again, I have good taste in wine, women and movies.

Proof:

Arnold Conan # 1 > new Conan movie.

That was too easy. :lol

But isn't the Holy Trilogy:

TPM
AOTC
ROTS

And you wonder where my friend request went. :nono

Takes me back, boy there was NO good merchandise when that film hit. NONE.

That's like saying, "breathing > asphyxiation!" :lol

God, I saw that movie...it's an abomination compared to the original Conan. And it was Rated R too, just ass.

'89 Bats is on my short list of classic movies I'd love to see brought back to the theatre for one of those "this weekend only" deals.

Oh, and new Conan guy is way too freakin' pretty to be Howard's Barbarian.

I said it was an easy one :lol

Ok, maybe an abomination is a bit harsh, it's a solid C. And I went in with an open mind, you just never give a ____ about the characters. See a matinee, there is some titties, gore, and some fun acting to watch. But it's just a mixed bag.

I didn't hate it either, it's not Norbit the Barbarian, but....

There is only one true Conan movie and I just finished watching it now :rock

I really thought it looked like a Sci-Fi (however they spell it now) movie. Like one of those outtanowheres sequals to Scorpion King or something. There's a lot to do with that character but I think similar to the Clash of the Titans remake it was more about "outdoing" the original film rather than a new idea based on the the actual story/mythos.

Anyway, yeah, so Batman, huh? :bat

I liked the COTT remake more, better set pieces. Man I wish they left in the deleted scenes, would make that movie so much cooler.

I think my biggest issue with the remake was it departed even further away from the original myth which to be fair has been around for centuries for a reason. Instead all it really seemed to want to be was better than the original, which in all honesty looks like it came out a good 15 years before it actually did.

That and the Transformers scorpions were just wtf...
