I got my "custom" Hot Toys Scarecrow figure together recently. I purchased the authentic head and boots, and decided to go a different route as far as the wardrobe. Im not too obsessive over movie-accuracy, so I purchased him a dark navy blue suit off of Ebay. Maybe later on I'll change it up, but for now...Im happy with the outcome.

What do you guys think?

Yeah, it may not be "screen accurate" but it's still Scarecrow. I would think that he's been doing this for a while, and he's bound to have different colored suits.

I think it looks great, and would imagine you paid a lot less for yours than many of us paid for ours. :lol

These pics are fantastic! :rock

What fists did you use?

Glad everybody approves. I did save a crap load of money going this route. I already had a Truetype body, so all I had to do was buy the headsculpt, boots, and suit.

I used the fists from my Hot Toys T2 T-800 figure, since I was using the alternate hands on that figure anyway.

Thanks myersfarms. =]

Well my girlfriend and I do this together. We collect, photography, and blog about our favorite collectibles. We use a Canon Rebel XTi with a EF 50mm 1.8 lens to get the best focus on the figure and give it as much detail as possible. Plus editing with Photoshop definitely helps bring the picture to life. =]

You're a lucky man. :duff

Pardon my ignorance, but do I have this right?

You are using this camera,

https://www.amazon.com/Canon-Digital-10-1MP-Camera-Body/dp/B000I1ZWRW

with this lens?

Thank you. =]

You are correct sir. That camera is our old reliable. We're planning on stepping up to the T2i, which records video as well as photography.

Did anyone ever get this horse?

If so, could you post pics with Scarecrow?

I wish sideshow would put this out. I don't mind if the make an exclusive with a different mask or accessory but a whole figure that suck to miss this one

Look what finally showed up:

The eyes are a little bit sloppy, but this isn't noticeable in-hand. I actually prefer the way the skin around the eyes is painted on the custom.

The biggest difference is obviously that the "custom" is much darker.

Not sure if I want to use it for the suit or straightjacket version...
