Naw, I wasn't. I was just trying to defend him because Devil and few other knuckleheads don't know how to show a little respect to the deceased. I never said he was the best actor ever, and I never claimed he was great in any films other then the ones he was great in. People just be hatin' on Heath because he stole Jack Nicholson's thunder or something.
Aww another thread totally derailed b/c of what? Oh who could've guessed Heath Ledger/Joker??? What? How? Not in the TDK, I mean DC section???

See, I don't even know how this happens.
I looked back in this thread and we were all talking about how bad the character of Rachel was in Begins and TDK. That and of course Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Then it somehow turned into a Heath Ledger memorial/praise thread.
I then went into the Hot Toys 1989 Batman thread and noticed the exact same thing. I just don't understand how the conversations always turn into Heath Ledger/TDK Joker, I really don't.
Probably because they've pinned up too many Ledger posters that a normal life is no more.

Peeps here aren't going to believe this, but I'm actually friends with Heath Ledger. He didn't even die. He was a recluse and decided he didn't want to be in the spotlight anymore and faked his own death.

Ya man same thing happened to me. When I left everyone was Gallic about Maggie G then I headed over the Tron threads, then came back hoping to see how ppl where getting just scarecrow or demon bats and how much but instead there's nothing but back and forth Heath Ledger talk. I'm not hating on Heath by no means but I wish there was something else we could talk about over here. Guess not though
Heath Ledger/TDK Joker is somehow bound to come up in every thread and destroy said thread for a time being I guess

How are you getting this bud? And what exactly is retail for this? All I can remember is ppl jammering about what they would and wouldn't pay for this set but have yet to hear a solid priceok you guys are all nutts and freaks cause I am getting demon bat and Scarecrows for retail and guaranteed .. there you go chew on that all you freaks

See I'm unbiased so I can be honest about things. Heath Ledger gave a great and memorable performance in TDK as The Joker. And he gave a great and memorable performance in Brokeback Mountain. But he also made a lot of crappy movies in his career where his performance was garbage. Ledger didn't have a long list of great films and great performances on his acting resume. And anyone who says differently (like you) is clearly on his ectoplasmic balls.

He's mentioned other movies than TDK and BB Mountain, but you haven't acknowledged that once (unless I missed it). He also has made the point that the material in the movies you list as 'sucking' was at fault, and Heath did the best he could with it. As soon as he was given a better role he ran with it. It's far more logical to assume that trend would continue than to assume that he would be given more lame roles in lame movies. Still speculation, but I'm just sayin'.

By that rationale EVERY actor is a "great actor" then. Jamie Kennedy is a great actor it's just the material in the movies EVERYONE lists as 'sucking' was at fault, and Jamie did the best he could with it. Right?
Especially when they have Heath Ledger's ghostly balls in their mouths.
