did anybody else think there wouldn't be issues with this figure.....I thought it was pretty much a given.....I just love the head sculpt so much and I don't have the OC bats so I'll take my chances...plus ordering from SS you can always get a replacement. Or your money back.

SSC did say they were shipping this during Spooktacular. Also I'm Flex paying this one and the last payment is Scheduled for Oct. 25th. Though I am aware these things can change and sometimes non flex'ers get theirs first.

From SSC's wording I got the impression they already have this figure sitting in their warehouse. They just needed something for Spooktacular, and this seemed like a good choice.

Nothing says "newb" like that does.

I didn't expect there to be any problems, and I still don't. As others have said before in this thread, it really seems to be an overreaction to an isolated few instances. We can't even be sure of what the problem IS. Is it HT poor QC rearing its ugly head, is poor packaging design, or is it collecter mishandeling? Only time will tell.

I for one am not worried, and I am still just as excited to get this. And as it has just been said, those of us getting this from SS have piece of mind because they have our back.

If Batman will indeed be a, "Fart in the wind" as you put it, then I can see how that could nullify what I said previously. Maybe SS hasn't been sitting on the box's for a while.

Either way it's not too much longer of a wait.

Man, you're a buzzkill.

It's a pun, a joke about the rubber Batsuits not lasting. You know how food expires, the expiration date? With all the suit deterioration, these Batman figures aren't much different. I got it instantly and thought it was pretty clever.

I feel like I ruined it by having to explain it but it is a good one.

I'm actually not chicken little-ing on this one but I am very curious about the "paint" or whatever it is that appears to have been applied to the suit. But, as has been pointed out, lots of people have already got this from the cons and from Ebay and there seems to be only a handful of pics of damaged figures. And I'm not counting that guy who put his Batman in a right-angle sitting position. That's just stupid.
