Yeah, my original OC was never painted.

However, my suit never looked like that, and I bought it new. I have one of the matte finish versions.

I wish mine was a nice, sleek, black like yours. Mine looks more like the promotional black/gray Begins pictures and how the suit looks in the opening of TDK. For the longest time I thought my OC Batman was flawed until other people mentioned they had similar versions.

This is the worst I've ever seen the OC Batman figure (not mine),

mamabigbig....? lmao. I guess the problem with this figure isn't a leaking issue, but rather that the coating can rub off if it's not handled carefully. Big deal. I never planned on giving my figure a butt massage, anyway.

I wouldn't even worry about that. When you see things like that, and then have a gander at the sheer amount of dust on the figure which looks like it's been stored in the bottom of a couch, underneath and behind the cushions, you really shouldn't even hold the damage as a standard. Whose to say the thing wasn't coated in dust bunnies after having taken a dive into the dusty fathoms behind a television set where it sat for a couple weeks and the flaking is a result of the owner's poor attempts at scrubbing all the dust off the suit? :huh

The camera lies. ;) It's the illusion of the lighting.

It's matte in this shot.

we need more in hand pics before anyone should worry...

plus, you have to figure that like 99% of the people who get one with no flaws wont post their experience whereas probably close to 75% who get flawed ones will post/complain

people always complain when something is wrong but many wont comment when its perfect...

This thread has been a roller coaster of emotions. First, I was running from this room to the next checking my figures and freaking out, and contemplating cancelling, but then my wait list order converted, and I realized that at the end of the day, it's just a collectible and I still love Batman. So I'll be taking this one, putting him in a "bland" pose like my others, and enjoying the ever-loving ____ out of the fact that I even own one.

Was the figure from 2008 coated in black vinyl paint?... I've never had such things on the figure but it troubles me (as in why does Hot Toys need to paint the suits now).

It still boggles me why they are painting rubbers. As from the looks of those photos, obviously... that has been handled harshly. Quite a lot of thumb twist/force/pressure by the looks of it.

Yeah i don't understand why these are being painted:dunno:slap
Mine looks the same as yours - no issues whatsoever

Most orders say "processing." :lol

True, but in this case it means next month. :) Point is we should expect a notice pretty soon barring any delays so get your cards ready. I'm curious -- did any flexpayers get their cards hit yet?

SSC did say they were shipping this during Spooktacular. Also I'm Flex paying this one and the last payment is Scheduled for Oct. 25th. Though I am aware these things can change and sometimes non flex'ers get theirs first.

From SSC's wording I got the impression they already have this figure sitting in their warehouse. They just needed something for Spooktacular, and this seemed like a good choice.
