I always read Batman, JL comics - never regularly picked up Superman comics, so not overly familiar with the Death of Superman storyline, and how they bring him back - I am intrigued as to what they'll do about Clark Kent though. The movie shows them as two seperate deaths - not "Superman's dead and guess what, he's Clark Kent"!
Also, due to the public collective grief at the end of BvS, it shows that people have embraced him... so when he returns it should be to a world that accepts hm, so we should expect a happier Superman.
I return of superman is even better then death since that is were they mystery resides one which of the four new new superman is the real one. So the plot is filled with mystery in addition to action how they will incorporate this story with in JL is a bit of a mystery but I have some ideas and they involve Braniac taking on the role of the cyborg superman. As he is a precursor to Darkseid.

As far as happier superman I think the tone of these movies will stay consistent yet since the death part is over we can expect a not so sad movie and more of a focus on action and building towards the final confrontation between Darkseid

Just finished seeing the film a second time.

I liked it even better this time than I did the first. I caught some things this time that I didn't catch the first time. For instance, while Bruce Wayne was at the underground fight club on the trail of Luthor's Russian henchmen, he whispered something to one of the fighters after he got knocked down and the fighter got back up and knocked out the other fighter, seemingly favoring attacking the other fighter's right side, then nodded at Bruce Wayne. I thought that was kind of funny.

I also thought the interaction between Superman and Lex Luthor on top of the LexCorp tower was really good. And of course, heard a bunch of sniffles at the conclusion of the film from other viewers in the theater.

The score for this film, like MoS, was also absolutely beautiful. Hans Zimmer is an amazing composer.

Yeah I got teary eyed at the end myself! Ok I was drawn in to this world..

Also hear scattered applause at the end at every screening(3) I have been to- very very rare for me to hear at a movie

Yeah, I got teary eyed also both times. The part that got me the most wasn't the actual funeral scene, but more when Bats placed Superman's hands on his chest and they wrapped him up in his cape, while WW solemnly had her head down. The score in the background of this scene was very moving.

I just saw the movie for the first time last night and to be totally honest, I liked it allot. Not sure where all the hate from the critics came from. Though it is not a perfect or super great movie , I really enjoyed it. My only gripe about the movie is Doomsday. They should of saved him for the final Justice League Movie. Doomsday is too important of a character to just appear for the last 30 minutes of the movie. Other than that I really digged the movie.

No, not perfect by any stretch. But then again, I don't really think anything is "perfect". Everything can stand to use a bit of improvement somewhere. I concur though about Doomsday, it seemed a little rushed to me and short lived. However, I felt they made it work. Perhaps they'll bring him back at some point.

I really enjoyed the film though. I enjoyed it the first time, but enjoyed it even more so the second. Everyone is of course entitled to their opinion, but I feel it's certainly not deserving of all the bashing and hate that it's receiving from critics. The concluding scene of the fight with Doomsday is one of the most powerful and moving scenes I've seen in a superhero film.

Watched the film for the third time last night.

I def need a 1/6 HT Doomsday to battle the Trinity.

And its still not too late for Howard to greenlight Faora.

Never too late but almost zero chance HT will revisit MOS...just not gonna happen. Too bad as Faora was most bad*** next to Zod in that movie!

That scene was very well doe, but i felt nothing. There was no set up for it. Frankly this storyline came way too early in the DCuniverse. WB blew its load too early

That was probably one of my gripes with the film. The whole "Death of Superman" plot line felt a little rushed, as did Doomsday. Barring that he comes back in some capacity, it felt like he may have been a bit underused.

However, I do at the same time think that they made it work. It's kind of cool that they got it over and done with. I felt the build up was good enough to make me feel something for it, in the sense that it essentially took Supes giving his life to get the people to finally see the goodness in him after projecting our own flaws onto him, so we presume that he is no different. Supes' sacrifice also rekindled the goodness in Bats. It kind of solidifies my belief that Supes is the type of hero that people need, but not the one they deserve.

Even though it was an epic scene, I think it could have possibly been more epic in say a MoS 2 film post the first JL film, with Doomsday having a bit more presence.

The problem I have with this line of thinking is that your expectations for future movies affect your appreciation of this one.
One thing at the time.
I thought the scene in question worked beautifully in the context of BVS.

I thought in the end that it worked also, as expressed in my second paragraph. Hence, also why I used words like "possibly" and "may have". If you're under the impression that I disliked the film, that is not the case. I thoroughly enjoyed and liked it.

I know you liked the film, the comments about the scene being rushed or possibly being better after a JL film seem odd to me that's all.
