Lucky you getting free tix. No kidding though; "Let me think.....YES!"
Same here for me with the second viewing as far as getting teary eyed. Heck, just even listening to the score ("This Is My World") can get me teary eyed. You'd think when you know what's going to happen, you'd sort of be impervious to it at that point being that it's not as much of a shock. I remember once the music toned down and he hit the ground, the theater I was in just went dead silent, as if everyone was holding their breath. Once WW looked at Lois and then solemnly turned away, is when I started hearing sniffles. As if WW turning away was all that needed to be said to everyone's silence.
This scene in my personal opinion is probably the most poignant, moving scene in any superhero film/CBM I've seen. May even rank up there with just film and TV in general.
Lol, yeah...I wasnt expecting it. I was at starbucks about 15 minutes from the theater, when he called.
He was like...hey, where are you? I got free tix for IMAX 3d, its yours if you want it.
I'M ON MY WAY!!! he he
Yeah, definitely one of the most moving scenes in a superhero movie.
At first, I was also conflicted if Doomsday storyline should have had its own longer story.
But my buddy actually made more sense, cause he felt this was actually better cause Doomsday is really a one dimensional character...unlike the joker or penguin, etc.
He served one big purpose in superman's storyline, and that is for the Death and Return of superman storyline.
So in some ways, its good that Snyder weaved that storyline to BvS cause if it would have been in another movie, it wouldnt have been surprising cause we all know its coming.
That's one of the big surprise in this movie, cause even though we know Doomsday was in it, we didnt think it would go there cause we assumed
that since Supes will be Justice league movie, they wont end the way it did.
So its actually smart that Snyder weaved this in this storyline cause it caught us off guard.
