Two of my faves too, mainly Marshy.

yea, I prefer the blonde too lol anyways, getting this back on topic, do you guys think the triangle chest piece armor is one of the mark 5 or mark 6 armors? and since the article only mentions one whiplash, do you think we'll only get one version of this character, it would be hard for me to believe that whiplash doesn't get an upgrade by the end of the movie.

Sick!

I'm all over this. Will def need to pick up a loose V1 Stark head to go with it.

We've seen the triangular chest piece only on the promotional stuff from Hasbro and on one of their figures so there is no way to be sure whether or not its official but the leading thought is that since Whiplash's whips are supposed to be so effective that they shatter portions of Iron Man's armor upon contact that we'll get a Mark 5 without question. My money is that it'd be on that armor for sure.

Faverau already confirmed that they'll be at least two marks of the Whiplash character in the movie during an interview, he parallels Whiplash building his armor to Tony building his from the first film. The thing is HT will milk this thing perfectly so expect a Mark 4, Mark 4 Battle Damaged, Mark 5, War Machine, Whiplash Mark 1, Whiplash Mark 2 and I would wager the Iron Man Drones from the Stark Expo exhibit in the film....

This Whiplash(or however his final armor looks) will be bought without question

I'm have no desire for this though, so as long as we get the top one, I'll be satisfied

yeah, pretty sure there'll be at least 2 versions of the whiplash armour. though i doubt it will end up like the current concept art. as for the iron man suits, a mark 4 is a given, mark 5 is very likely the extremis-ish version with triangular chest rt, but a mark 6 is a question mark.

and yes, as always ht will milk this for everything it's worth. and we will gladly lap it all up to the very last drop. :D

I know ill buy ANYTHING hottoys puts out for 1/6 iron man,
i pray everynight for a a 1/6 extremis (Mk 5 will do if its close enough) figure from hottoys :drool and an iron monger, but dont we all:D

Was this poster made by Marvel studios or by Hasbro?
I was not at the con, so I'm not sure if this is confirmation that this armour will be used in the movie?

That was the Hasbro banner, the thing is that its incorrect. The Mark 4 faceplate is different than the Mark 3 having only one ridge while that one has different chest plating but the helmet is the Mark 3...people are still thinking that it's an eventual thing but one has to wonder how close Hasbro was....the Marvel Studios stuff only had the Mark 4 that was already shown.

hey mike i can see the mk4 face plate is more slender in the jaw to cheek region but what exactly do you meen by the ridge ?

i love how in iron man 1 he falls through his house cuz his armour is heavy, but he can sit in a booth on a plastic seat and be fine , lol

While there is no real rational reason for this, technically the Mark 3 is made from a different material to compensate for the icing, and it was the Mark 2 that went through, so 3 could be perceived as lighter.

Fell through his house?

Yes, after his test of the Mark 2, he hovers over his roof and then cuts the power to land and ends up crashing through the house into the basement/garage.

I gotcha. Well no wonder he fell, theres a huge difference between hovering in the air and sitting down in a booth.

Yeah, but he was hovering like 3-4 feet at the most really, if he were heavy enough to crash with enough force to go through 2-3 floors of a house and completely crush a car, he ought to snap the plastic booth in a diner.

yeah but he was like 3ft tops off of his roof, and that seat at the table is definately not anywhere near as strong as a house roof>piano>another floor>a car
