I can't believe how mad some of you guys are over the extremely tiny bit of gloss on the Bale HS, it's a tad bit ridiculous... mine has it and it's worse than some of pics posted in here and I could care less because it's still hardly noticeable.

I used to think I was quite the complainer, but I can thank this site for helping me realize my compliant level is in or below the norm.

I got mine with a few minor problems:

-The shiny forehead that SS claims it's perspiration
-A small spot on the chest
-A broken left foot, which I fixed my replacing the peg

Overall, you can't tell it has problems, I'm happy with it, but the price was a little steep for these problems.

Hit the issue on the head here. Price was too high for even the more fanatical batman fans but is easily justified by fanboyism. Pour the less than perfect scale into $250+ price point and people are completely justified in their complaints.

I am glad to hear boots and pegs are being replaced, but it's still leaves a terrible transaction taste.

Sure I may be wrong. But IMO the the main point of this Batman Begins/ Bruce Wayne figure, is the new HS. If I am not wrong, the original costume was made before for HT, twice. I think OC was $150 at retail, so I am not expecting to pay much more then that for the "Batman alone figure" ... But a good HS like this one, it is possible to cost $100 easy.

Wrong, wrong, wrong wrong... I would have gotten it without the new headsculpt. I, like many people, did not get the OC figure. It's secondary market price was astronomical compared to a "mere" $240. I could have gotten the OC figure for $220 but was already getting V1 Joker and TDK Batman at the time and thought I'd wait a few months. By then, it was $400. I was kicking myself ever since.

So happy how things all turned out. I prefer this matte finish and the interchangeable mouth plates and of course the new Bale sculpt. But don't think that's the only reason anyone paid $240 for this. I needed an OC Batman to complete my display. And it is my favorite on-screen suit used. Only reason I got the TDK one first was I snagged it for $180. Had I gotten the OC first I could have waited for the DX versions of Batman and Joker and saved a ton of money when the price on those took a hit.

Well, I was really talking about retail prices... Is really hard to talk in today's impression. Off course, for $225 you'll say is a big oportunity given the price on the secondary market of the OC. For $225 you get a IMO better figure. and better HS.

But I was thinking in an ideal world, were people was able to get the OC. OC retailed for $150, and I think no much people is expecting (key word: expecting, willing) to pay much more for what seems to be a slight improvement. But the new HS adds for sure $100. Just my opinion.

I used the medicom suit which is the same as the one he wears in TDK, on a TT narrow shoulder body...took some futzing, but I think it turned out alright

Medicom is a different 1/6 figure producer...they came out with a Bruce Wayne figure a while back...figure sucked but the suit is decent quality. Medicom figures run a bit on the smaller side so that's why I went with the narrow shoulder TT...the fabric is pretty thick so by the time you get all the layers on it looks great...should be able to get the figure on ebay, then just ditch Bruce and use the suit. Hope that helps

You'll end up rather paying 120 bucks for the entire figure on ebay only to ditch the bruce wayne you paid for as well. It's a waste of money IMO and different options should be sought. Suit looks great but it's not worth it unless your trees are shedding dollar bills instead of leaves.

Might as well buy the figure IMO. Hard to find a QUALITY suit for under $100 anyway, unless I'm missing out on some other great suits somewhere that don't look like poo.

I can definitely agree that there aren't a great deal of options available, also if you use anything but the narrow shoulder truetype, Bale comes out looking like this:
