I mean what they amounted to numbers wise. Six? Seven?

Where are you going with this? You were already told the number of actual dream scenes when you initially said you were unclear on it (even though you said you understood the film). There were two.

As asked, do you not want any help understanding on what you were confused on or something? I'm getting the impression that you actually don't want to understand it. If someone helped me on something that I was unclear about, I would be appreciative and simply tell them thanks. :dunno

I can see why Tourist's statement about you expertly trolling these threads now at this point would make sense.

What? I was simply asking how many dream/vision/premonition/nightmare sequences there were altogether. I labeled them all dreams, because that is essentially what they are.

Then you labeled them incorrectly. Like I said, I categorized them correctly, as did others who understood the film, because they are different. You said yourself that you were unclear and asked how many dream scenes there were, and you were simply given the answer. What are you not understanding?

Does it really matter what I choose to call them? It's a lot easier to say 'dream sequences' than 'two dreams, three nightmares, a premonition, two visions and an acid trip'. This is rapidly descending into something rather petty.

Well, if it causes you to not understand it/something, which you admittedly said you didn't, then yes, it can actually make a difference based on what you initially mistakenly thought it was. And I do concur it is devolving into something petty, after I politely gave you the answer to what your question was based on what you were unclear about.

I think you misunderstood my original post, where I said 'I did not understand the film, I did not understand why they did this... etc'. I think you again misunderstood when I called them all 'dream sequences'. I think sometimes things don't come across as intended online :lol

Oh ok. You asked though how many dream scenes there were. Being that you say you fully understood the film, I presumed that meant you were able to distinguish what was actually intended to be an actual dream and what wasn't. So, I just simply helped you in stating how many dream scenes there were, which was your question. I admit that even I referred to the Apocalypse scene as a "dream sequence", but I knew that was a misnomer and actually an incorrect label.

Since you weren't sure what was actually dream and what wasn't, is was reasonable to presume that you therefore, didn't understand the film and/or perhaps it affected your ability to understand the film as an aggregate whole. You're right though, perhaps you meant something other than what you said. It's sometimes difficult to tell through typed words. :duff

No worries. Maybe I used a phrase that wouldn't make sense if you hadn't heard it before or something like that. Glad that's cleared up :wink1:

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just simply took your words based on how you typed them, so maybe you weren't sure exactly how it would come across to others, or what it meant. No harm, no foul. :wink1:

Two dream sequences?! There was definitely more than that.
Nope.

So everyone then? Plenty of people, even those who liked the film, had to watch it a few times to make sense of it all ...
... I don't understand the movie ...
You do not get to put words in my mouth, I said "anyone who paid attention" not "everyone", big difference.
Yes we agree.

... As for 'carefully dancing around' the issues, I have brought up several, citing examples and suggesting ways of improvement.
The first time you brought up examples was earlier today in post #2390.
Congrats you are a former troll, that is improvement.

Don't forget this Batman is a veteran who's been fighting crime for 20yrs – we know he has a rogue's gallery and have seen Joker, Harley and Croc exist in this universe so it will have seen use in the past no doubt.

yeah thats my though exactly the suit has history, I think in the original version the suit is specially design for superman right? I think this version has seen battle before though, killer croc or Bane would make sense

Do you guys think the batman stand alone film will have a serious tone like the Nolan trilogy or more of a "comic book" movie?

The difference being TDK was actually Oscar nominated where I don't see a change if any marvel movie ever getting nominated even though they are brilliant. I say this sine Affleck is directing.

Back on topic, do HotToys only make a very limited amount of special editions. In on the wait list for the bundle since release day of BvS and am curious what are the actual chances ill score it

Both Nolan and Snyder use the best story arcs of the comics to mold their movies in their vision, either way its Batman its dark and brooding otherwise it would be like making the Punisher funny or something
