I would like one Batman figure in my collection and passed on the Returns Batman in the end; i was going to pass on this, but the new body and suit looks brilliant. However, what will it be made out of - rubber? I'm allergic to rubber outfits (not literally allergic, I just don't trust them). Any views on how durable the suit will be? Thanks.

I think it may be similar to mos which is a PVC material. Basically plastic.
It should be ok.

Exactly.
This cracked me up. :rotfl

:rotfl

You could probably also do something like that comparing the Reeve Supes with Cavill Supes.

It won't be made of rubber. Like Remy said, I imagine it will probably be something similar to the MoS suit. I think you should be fine with this Bats figure.

I don't think the movie is amazing by any means, but
-No one thought Superman killed those people, but he created an international indecent by engaging with the forces of another sovereign nation. But yes, this should have been explained better in the film.

-First off, we don't know that the Joker is still alive in this movie. The timeline in relation to Suicide Squad has never been established.
Batman's motivations in this film are far more complicated than that. He's tired and worn out and cynical. He's been waging his war for 20 years and feels like he hasn't changed anything. His mansion is destroyed, his partner is dead, his friend turned from a good man into a villain (Dent). It's why he is branding people. He has lost his way after all these years. He thinks that by taking down Superman he can save the world and actually make a difference. You get the sense than he isn't even sure if he will live, and doesn't care. In the end, when he hear's his mother's name, and discovers that it's the name of Clark's mother as well, it snaps him back. He realizes how he has strayed form his original mission. He sees Clark as a person, with a mother, and not just as a weapon of destruction. It humanizes him to Bruce. And after Clark's sacrifice, he realizes that people can make a difference by being good. It's why he doesn't brand Lex in the prison. It pulls Bruce back from that dark edge.

-Given his choice of leaving Doomsday alone temporarily on the island, where he could easily cross back over into the more populated Metropolis versus leading him back to the spear and a empty area, was pretty much the only call he could make at the moment. It was the best option, out of an array of bad ones.

-His mother was gagged. Lois was screaming.

-He has the spear. There is no faster way to get it to the battle field than to fly it there himself. Sure Wonder Woman could have used it, but she didn't have it, and was busy keeping Doomsday occupied.

There is a difference between a "plot hole" and something you just didn't understand.

Agreed. The most annoying thing is how patronizing people who disliked the film are behaving. The movie just wasn't that bad. Not amazing, maybe not even great, but good. Solid good action superhero movie and people like it for a variety of reasons. For example, I thought most of the Batman scenes were a disappointment but many people who liked the movie thought Batman was the best part.

Fix the shoulders hottoys

was this the best Batman ever?
imho, YES. Bale was good in Begins, but Affleck nailed it in every aspect, he was truly "the night and vengeance" for me.

Also, hi! I'm new in this thread, coming from Metal Gear Solid collectibles lol :)

Saw it yesterday, worth the watch. Internet and critics were to harsh on the movie but to be fair, you have to have a lot of DC-related knowledge to enjoy the movie. Clearly is not aiming to a wide audience. Content is good, the distribution of it, is flawed. Also Affleck and Gadot, nailed their roles! (Luthor was meh, but I hope for some potential future development).
If you don't want to spend nearly 3 hours sitting (feels like a marathon of a series) then yup, wait for the Netflix release. But overall, I really liked the movie, and if you liked the DC-animated movies, then you probably like this one too. It doesn't deserve the bad reviews and this kind of movies clearly show how bad-used-to we are with all this colorful Marvel movies. Is a very dense movie comparable with Watchmen, a lot of things happen and the assembly of those things might be a bit confusing and against the pacing, but again, the content is good. You don't go out with the sense of "oh, they could have added -insert anything-in there". It is a needed movie for what it comes for the DC cinematic universe, it was a good choice not to make it a proper MoS sequel or a Batman solo movie. It is a transition movie with a lot of context created for you to understand why things are happening, or will happen.

It's much improved so I did go ahead and preorder it but it would still be nice if they tweeked shoulders and arms to match the bulk and definition of the onscreen suit. Now watch the JLA suit be even cooler and the Hot Toys figure nail it on that one.

I'll leave the movie stuff to the movie thread... But in general, I agree with what a lot of you are saying about the movie. Really wanted to love it, have been excited about it for months, after the first hour I was already ready to leave and just finish up Daredevil on Netflix :slap

Batman, however, was awesome. Loved the Nolan trilogy. Bale was great in his role. But Affleck Batman (as in Batman, not Bruce Wayne) straight up destroyed these criminals, and I loved it. Really reminded me of the Arkham games where Batman is just so physically imposing and brutal. Less martial art choreography, more "I'm literally going to throw you through a wall and punch your face in."

This figure looks like it'll be amazing.

I disagree, Ben got the Bruce Wayne/Batman dynamic perfect, he made Bale seem like a mopey monk.

I also like the way they portrayed Alfred in this version. When comparing him with TDK trilogy Alfred, this Alfred seemed like he was more of a combination of the Lucius Fox role, while still being Alfred.

With regards to this Bats figure, if they further improve the body that would be awesome, but I personally think the way it is right now already looks amazing. Way better than what they initially had.
