1/6 Hot Toys BvS: Dawn of Justice-Wonder Woman

Okay I just saw the movie tonight.

I don’t know crack pipe people are smoking that hated this. I give it 10 out of 10 stars! It was equally as well written, acted and filmed as “Man of Steel”. This movie, quite honestly, puts to shame most Marvel movies (and I love my Marvel movies) and the weak mirror copy of “Star Wars: A New Hope” that is called ”Star Wars: The Force Awakens”. This movie was good, yes that GOOD! And I paid for my ticket too and I may go again.

I kept waiting for the bad scenes that the whining naysayers blanketed the web with. All I can say it there are no bad scenes. Zack Snyder, the director, is at his best. I wasn't considering this figure since I'm not a big Wonder Woman fan, but that has changed. Gotta say the Batman costume and Ben Affleck hit a solid home run too.

Trust me, ignore the negative reviews and go see this.

I think it is how people rate things more than a refllection on the movie. My favorite superhero films are Iron Man and The Dark Knight. I thnk they are really great films but i would not give them over a 8.5. Saving Private Ryan is one of my favorite movies and i love everything about it but it would only get a 9.5. 10/10 for me is a movie that I cannot think of a way it could be improved, the story, acting, costumes, pacing, etc have to be flawless. For me personally i cannot think of a film i would give a 10/10 but that is just me.

I'd take this sculpt over the BW sculpts anytime. At least they got her makeup right. I think this looks like Gadot as WW, not as Gadot herself. Big difference.

I think the eyes needed to more a little more intense

Agreed. I think the eyebrows need to be thicker and I'd love a bit more stern fighting expression but other than that it looks like her.

Well as a huge fan of Man of Steel, I honestly found the new movie to be a pretty big disappointment. It was dull and sluggish and the story was all over the place and clunky as hell. And it just seemed to lack any of the magic and grandeur that MOS had.

The one clear highlight though was Wonder Woman, and Gadot looked absolutely freakin perfect in the role, so I will still definitely be getting this figure. I'll just look at it more as representing her standalone WW film than the lackluster BvS.

I think any MOS fan or die hard superman fan wouldn't appreciate the outcome of this film.

Well I appreciated the outcome of the movie and the Wonder Woman costume and actor were out of the park great!

You'd have to be devoid of a pulse not to like this movie. IMHO.

But, to stay on topic, the Hot Toys version figure captures the actress's likeness. The costume with weathering looks crazy detailed on the images shown on Sideshow. I wasn't getting it before the movie, but am now.

Heck, I wasn't a Batman collector, but the movie changed that. I am now.

Gdamnnnnnnnnnnn this figure looks good. The display figure always looks better than proto shots... I hate how artificial the proto shots tend to look.

Here is my dilemma every non collector I have shown the pics to says it looks like the girl from avengers (scarlet witch) more than gadot. Many said below 4 things are the issue: 1) her nose needs a lil more character (like gadots) 2) her Lower jaw and cheek lines in current sculpt are too much like Elizabeth Olsen 3) lips need to be a bit bow and arrow ish + poutish (for lack of better words. 4) the eyebrows need a lil more work.

Don't misunderstand - I think the figure looks hot mostly cause of the accurate costume etx but sculpt surely needs more work ...

I saw the movie yesterday and they hardly gave WW any huge part in the movie, only in the end and it wasn't much action from her part. The movie did not blow me away and I don't feel I will even buy the blu-Ray.

Preordered her today after seeing the movie. She was great and I'm excited for her solo film, BvS had it's flaws though.
