I'm really glad that even with all the critics trying to bring it down...

Batman v superman is now,the biggest superhero opening ever!!!

$424 million worldwide.

BOX OFFICE: BATMAN v SUPERMAN Passes $400 Million Worldwide For The Biggest Superhero Opening EVER

I'm glad the fans in the end spoke the loudest. :)

I saw that as well, and was reading an article last night saying the same thing, that despite bad reviews by critics, BvS still seems to be appealing to most fans and that people are disregarding what critics say.

you guys act like critics are banding together to sabotage the movie or something.

They're just doing their job, critiquing.

Avatar did well in the box office... it doesn't mean the money it made matches its quality.

Not at all. They're just stating that despite what critics are saying, it's apparently not deterring anyone from going to see the film.

Their job is pretty irrelevant in the age of social media and YouTube. Same goes with video game "magazine review" journalists. People still read newspapers though.

Anyway, critics can hurt the potential for future releases of films, if the reception is bad enough. We've seen it happen on many occasions. And this film was setting up for the DCU, something fans have been clamoring for the studios to do since even before Avengers. So yes, people are pretty defensive about these ****** reviews.

Not attacking you, by the way. Just responding as one of these said fans, lol.

Is she technically greek???? i thought Amazonians were simply an "ancient race" inspired by general ancient history like Rome/Greece ect. but are they actually straight up Greeks or simply inspired by them ?

But there is a difference between a critique for most films and how many are covering this. And it's not just the reviewers. There are people "critiquing" a film they have not even seen. And gloating about bad reviews like they some how win something. Strange behavior. And a fair bit of the reviews are exceptionally negative. I've seen it called the worst movie of all time. And that there is zero worth watching. And that everything from the music to costumes are awful. When people are rating it as the worst movie ever there's obviously something else at play.

And there are critics that have slanted their opinions Becuase of how they where treated. Critics are often allowed to see the film weeks before hand and in small groups and get special treatment. For this film though, Warner wanted to limit leaks and had most critics review it at the actual red carpet premier with a full theater. It's a different situation and there where those critics who held that against the film.

Actually, recent archaeological evidence points to them being Scythian (Eurasian), and they were the sworn enemies of the Greeks. And contrary to the "legends", they did not hack off their breasts to be able to shoot bows better. They also wore pants, covered their bodies with tattoos, and fought alongside/with their men (who, again, against the long-held belief, they did not hate).

Didn't Disney do the same thing for Force Awakens yet they received overwhelmingly positive reviews. They didn't want any of the groundbreaking events in Star Wars to leak early and ruin it for the fans. I think if you take the Rotten Tomatoes score for Batman v Superman and triple it Force Awakens still has a higher rating; it's just that high.

Probably won't buy this figure after watching the sub-par movie. Maybe I'll buy a later one if they can get better talent writing the script and directing things in a later movie.

It's sub-par according to critics...not fans. Just saying. [emoji106]

Actually, it's sub-par according to me :lol Fans on Cinemascore also gave Catwoman and Green Lantern a B, so I don't think I'll be looking to the masses to dictate my preferences at this time.

There are plenty of fans who are dissatisfied with the movie as well. It's perfectly okay to be a fan of something, while being critical of it at the same time.

Some of you act like a few numbers are the end of the world. You really need to get over it.

I've seen the movie and I loved it. Critics are people I don't know and rationalizations I do not know as well. Even reading a bad opinion without any spoilers already has made an impact on the viewers expectation. This movie is so important to me that I made an effort to avoid reading or watching any review until I got to see it. I suggest for everyone, go see the movie watch it all and take it all in and form your own opinion. These are iconic characters that has 7 decades of comic book history and stories; there is no possible way a 2 1/2 hour movie can cover that or remotely correctly represent that. Lovers of these characters will either hate it or love it.

So your upset at people being upset at other people being upset? It's just words, you need to get over it.

With all due respect, what are you talking about?? Lol. What you are harping on is not what my point was. It's ok to be critical, that's fine. However the majority of moviegoers have generally enjoyed this movie despite the bad critic reviews. It's just the reality...which is why it continues to make a extreme magnitude of money. Lol. You may not like math, but unfortunately it adds up. Lol.
