I'd say it's pretty inevitable. Black clothing? These all use some sort of dye. Not worth risk, I would put something between them.

Looks like west is in a neon parade :lol

That's great news about the cost not attracting lint

People complain about this seamless. This coat not being a lint problem just proves how this new HT is the step in the right direction imo

This is one issue that Phicen never tried to fix.

I have a great feeling on the future of seamless for HT

yeah it's not perfect, but it's a good a step for Hot Toys in pushing the seamless envelope.

The Storm Collectibles Mike Tyson's body were notorious for cracking/splitting but I believe their second batch of replacements were better.

Unfortunately us collectors pay the price for these defects and imperfections; however, I'm glad all these companies are competing with one another and improving the technology. Hopefully one day they can perfect it because I really like the look of seamless (despite some tradeoffs with articulation).

Why is Sideshow not getting this for another month or 2, but other people have it? Where did they get it from?

I was under the impression the people who have them in-hand already got them direct at Secret Base in HK, through middle-men like Budget Stark who pick them up and ship them overseas.

I believe Asian markets get them first (through a lottery system) and everyone else internationally gets the figures a month or two later (barring any unforeseen port strike issues).

But I'm relatively new to the hobby so probably someone else can provide better insight on why there's a delay.

personally i paid my impatience tax up front and ordered from a hong kong seller kidult shop a week before the limited 100 release lol

paid $360 with ems postage took 3 days posted monday delivered to me in the uk wednesday ,ems is around $65 ,bringing the figure to $295 $30 more than sideshow charge ,but their postage is expensive and slow 10 to 20 days and alway attract customs charges

breaking it down i think sideshow were charging $265 for her plus around $40 to $50 for regular airmail ,plus customs and handling charges $70

so i actually saved money and saved a bunch of time going this route

done it before and would do it again in a heart beat:)

I seriously fear some kind of dye transfer from that coat; leaving black marks on the flesh tone over time.

Should we similarly fear Harley Quinn's jacket leaving dye marks on her white shirt and exposed arms?

I know it's a different set of variables (on another figure) but just curious if we should be cautious in general... if that's the case, I think the Hulkamania Hogan from Storm has a red/yellow feather boa that might damage the shirt/body too.

Slightly off-topic: Does this message board have a thread where people can advertise Hot Toys figures they wanna sell?

Yes.

Asian markets are the first to receive/release new figures.

Why?

WELL . . . pretty much all the 1:6 brands/manufacturers are in Asia (China/Hong Kong).

For those who are posting/sharing pictures are either collectors in Asia or collectors in the US who paid a premium price to get their figures first while the rest of us are waiting for the main shipment on the way to the US by boat. The ones who paid a premium gets theirs shipped by air.

Welcome to the 1:6 hobby and kiss your bank account and wallet good-bye and buy KY lubricant in bulk and learn to spread wide open.
