I don't hate Cavill. He's good in the role but to me, he'll never really be Superman, just like the New 52 Superman will never be Superman. It's just a question of generation I guess but to me, in order to qualify as Superman you need at least two things: a Superman costume and optimism, two things the examples quoted above just don't have.

What we get is a Superdude in over designed duds that sings to the tune of his time: pessimism. I guess each generation gets their own rendition, and I guess it also tells a lot about the world we live in... :(

I grew up worshipping the Reeve films. However, I think this rendition of Superman is more relatable. I think that could potentially also be why many people who didn't really like the character before, now find a connection to the character.

Isn't the character going to be increasingly optimistic as this universe develops? Sure sounds like it for JL and WB looking at the likes of Matthew Vaughan for his next solo movie. The tone of the next Superman movie will probably much closer resemble Wonder Woman than MoS.

I actually like his costume. Just make it a little more colourful, the way WW armour was in her solo movie, and it would be close to perfect.

I think so too. I do think the DCEU is making Superman their main character, as they started the universe off with MoS and BvS in my opinion was more of a Superman film than a Batman film because it was Superman's idealism and hope that was intended to carry the film and have an impact on both Batman and WW.

I believe it's all meant to be a story and illustrate that the character has a learning curve. To show how he becomes what many here recognize as "Superman". Just let the story develop.

:exactly: That is why I believe the shift in tone was already set in motion before the critical backlash not after. Love or hate the film it's made pretty clear by the end Superman has changed both Batman and Wonder Woman for the better. The public will presumably revere rather than distrust him when he comes back(or returns to his true self should they choose to briefly make him evil).

I love the longer more regal cape compared to previous suits, the texture and material are great to.

The colours a shade or two lighter like this fan art would be ideal, for my tastes at least.

The material of the suit and cape look great. I've seen the MOS version in person at Warner Bros. Studios and the cape looked like a silky material. Very nice. The suit did look quite dark in person, but I like that they made it a little brighter in BvS. Considering how dark many scenes were I think that was a good choice. A little brighter, something like the picture you posted, would look nice. From what we've seen of the JL suit it at least looks similar to the BvS colors.

I need a Wonder Woman figure too. I think I'll wait it out for a Solo movie version, but I like how the new prototype looks for this figure. Looking forward to what they have next!

Just came back from my third viewing, Diana stepping out of the trenches is the most iconic thing a superhero has done. Ever

Loved that scene. Steve was starting to piss me off a bit at that point because he kept wanting her to do what he wanted her to do and stay undercover and help him do HIS mission. The moment where she basically said no **** this, it may be what you came here to do, but it's not what I came here to do. YOU can't get across that battlefield, but I can.

Superman's first flight in MoS was also pretty iconic to me and ranks up there. Same with Clark ripping his shirt open for the first time and revealing the iconic S while running across the street in STM, with the score gradually building then cranking up the moment he does it.

... Oh no. Noooo, don't tell me that Wonder Woman and Chris Pine hook up!! WHY?? She's from an island full of women.

Please tell me there was at least ONE instance of lesbians kissing in this movie.

at one point in the movie's dialogue it was implied that they have lesbian sex all day scissoring one another, it was also implied that wonder woma and chris pine had sex but not on screen.

it would be neat if we could talk about our collective love of hot toys and comic book movies instead of trying to pass our opinions as facts

Yup. I wish people here can have a mature conversation and ate able to respect people's opinions

Is like to think we're all adults here but I doubt that now...

And also, not forgetting that we are here to discuss about the figure. And waiting for the release.....HT!!! Come on!

Man, Hot toys should release WW already so people will stop arguing about movie over and over.

Saw it a couple pages back, but it would be real cool if everything was removable so it would be able to be placed on a more articulated body. Exposed joints don't bother me, rubber ones do. That corset and arm band look pretty tight tho :/ hopefully they budge

*sigh* Well... it's better than nothing. I guess. :-(

(Like, they didn't even have any of the background Amazons holding hands at least, or....?)
