I think it was just a creative decision on Marvel's part. Dude is doing some crazy stunts and the snowboarder like visor is for clear vision to be able to pull some of that stuff off. Never know, this could just be the Taskmaster V.1 if he survives and becomes part of the Thunderbolts. I guess the same points can be given to Crossbones, not as skully as it looks like in the comics. But again, he isn't doing the stunts I am seeing in the BW trailer.

Yeah, I think you're right about the stunt work required having an influence on the suit & headgear designs. I'm not all that enamored with the video game Skeletor look anyway - a bit too cartoonish for my taste. I do wish he (& the HT figure) looked a bit more imposing, as physically he's a bit reminiscent of Jeremy Renner as Ronin with the hood up. I don't know what actor is playing him, but I imagine that's factoring into it as well.

Taskmaster has already been surmised that

O-T ***benle aka Mason, a supposed SHIELD agent is Taskmaster.

I went out image hunting and found a still from a trailer that shows both characters in the same frame. Taskmaster is definitely larger looking here:

Judging by the arms, I think the armor just gives her bulk.

I'll have to see how this character turns out. I'm quite fond of the look but expect Taskmaster to be a one and done. So if there's nothing memorable about the character on-screen and the only lasting impression is that they went with a female version for the movie, then that means I don't need it.

Taskmaster looks much bigger than BW, as well as almost as big as Harbour's Red Guardian (but decidedly fitter, as one would expect). Still doesn't rule anything out regarding gender, but regardless he/she is anything but small in stature.

He looks better as a figure than he does in the movie. Will wait to see the movie before ordering him though.

That would've been awesome. But Disney is too kid friendly these days to take a chance on something that would scare kids. So we get the family friendly version :(
It’s not an issue of being kid friendly. This franchise has had some bloodless but still intense deaths and beatdowns.

China has a blanket ban on depictions of supernatural elements like ghosts, spirits, and skeletons.

Being a huge market for Disney and Marvel movies especially, it’s likely they didn’t want to risk not passing the movie approval process because of Taskmaster’s design.

I imagine you may find that being the reason to be more upsetting, however.

I can just imagine Ryan Meinerding getting feedback from the CCP about his concept art.

Feige: Ryan, we have some changes for Taskmaster that the CCP would like you to do.
Ryan: Ok, what would they like?
Feige: Winnie says make the eye sockets look more like goggles.

I’m pretty sure Far From Home released in China and that had the undead Iron Man.
