I'm going to pick the regular version HS, bloody it up a little and put on this. I also want the regular version shield to put with my 1st Avenger cap. The colors on it seem to match the colors of my flaking original better than any of the others so far.
Either one will turn out great, but I personally refer the clean shield, interchangeable face plates and as mentioned, if I were going to replicate a scene from the film with the figures, that would be the one.

My only complaint after seeing the film is that this isn't a bit more battle damaged. Still glad I ordered it though.

Surprised there are Avengers A logos on the shoulders. Seemed like for a lot of the film he didn't have them.

Isn't the custome supposed to be dirty? I have old eyes but dammit, I cannot see it in any pic. They did good job showing the grime on the shield

I was on waitlist since 29th last month. I canceled it today and bought the regular one instead with the new $20 off code. I also found a similar base (released with Hot Toys Kerberos Panzer Cop) for $22 as well. With the little weathering, custom BP shield and identical base, I think I'm okay with not having this movie promo version haha.

wait I'm not sure how the regular better represents that scene better?
I'm just hoping HT throws in a bloodied up faceplate for this. a very clear oversight by them. chances are its too late for changes though.

this version cap is dirty, has the more "appropriate" base, and most of all, the shield has bp's scratch on it; just like it still had in that final fight scene. the camera clearly did a close up to show the scratched up shield when cap left it.
the regular is a clean shield which is only that way pre-airport fight. the only thing the regular has that this one should is the angry faceplate, which we can probably just buy as a part out pretty easily.

So glad I pre ordered this version. The movie was great. I do hope they make the avengers symbol Velcro to allow it to come off easily.
I will say I'm glad this figure will be my newest representation of CA compared to the AofU suit. I thought this was way yay better than AofU.

However, if I recall correctly, I think the shield still had the BP scratch at the end. When HT first designed the regular version though, I believe they essentially modeled it after the final fight scene with IM based on the footage from the trailers, but you weren't really able to tell the shield was stil scratched. It does very much coincide with the gritted teeth face piece though.

i mean if we're going for accuracy here this version is clearly meant for the "final battle" scene because of the shield alone.

HT always does this. Of course it would make more sense for the Final Battle version to have the angry face, which is why its not included. You have to buy both of them to complete the look. As was their grand scheme

One is designed to show the fight between Cap and a black panther (the scratched/battling) and one is designed for the iron man fight.

i guess we can ignore continuity and go with the shield having scratches then not, then does, and act like that's how it was meant to be and not an error.
