if you say SHi* you got banned, but not racist threat, I though the doll collecting thing makes us more caring about other people, apparently, I am wrong.

How the hell is that racist? Or a threat? It was just a joke, albeit a dark one, but lighten up.
And how on earth does collecting make you a more caring person?
But I agree on the language thing. We're all mature here, we can handle a few naughty words.

actually, I'm new to the entire Cap'n America storyline. Is the movie accurate to the original comics? I am talking specifically about how he was a frail individual to begin with and only got buff due to some experiment. For some reason that put me off for a split second (maybe because it almost felt as if it wasn't really "him", or didn't originate from him). But then I realized, most of the super heros came about that way haha.

The original origin of Captain America was indeed that he was a frail patriot to small to go to war so he signed up to take the expirimental super soldier syrum which instantly turned him into an acrobatic Olympian, so in that sense at least the film seems to follow his roots pretty closely.

I'm no expert, my Captain America knowledge comes from the comics, cartoons and the internet, but i belive Steve Rogers was unsuitable to enlist, because of being either too weak or having some minor disablity, or terminal injury, he was however an incredible patriotic young man who wanted to prove himself, it was this patriotism and strenght of will that got him selectied for the super-soldier program, i guess if youre gonna give great power to someone you want that person to want to earn it rather that to just want it. The Super soldier Prrocess simply gave him the tools for the job, he was still the same person under the muscle, thats what they wanted i think someone who would retain their innate goodness and not get drunk with power.

Hope that helps.

For me, being a brit, Captain America was never like those idiots in WWE arenas yelling out U-S-A U-S-A in an ignorant, arrogant way.

Cap stands for the same things Superman does, helping peopl, freedom, peace, fairplay and civil rights, whether your an american or any other nation

He simply had too, like many of his countrymen, defend what he belived in, luckily what he believes in IS right, Captain America fought for his country, his people, and his ideals not for profit, gain or the will of the goverment.

Civil War showed that Captain America was never about pushing America's interests on the world, but about civil liberty, he went against his own government because what they were doing was against freedom.

Cap isnt a grunt that will do what his president says even if he knows its wrong, he will do whats right. If cap was real and was enlisted to go to Iraq, i dont know for sure what he'd do, but i think he would 'Think' about what the goal of the war is, is it necessary for peace or is it for the country to get rich, if its the latter he wouldnt do it, He's not just a soldier but a symbol of hope and courage, he wouldnt let himself become corrupt, kinda like Jesus, he'd die first.

Agreed. Cap fights not necessarily for America itself, but for the basic ideals that America was founded on. And that's why he's awesome.
He's just as much of a hero to the world as he is a hero to America.

Same here. Was hoping he would at least start-off with the crest shield. Then, they could have easily showed its weaknesses with the shield taking damage and incorporating some clever way in developing the circular shield. :(

Do we know for a fact that he immediately gets the round shield in the movie? Who's to say that the scene in the trailer where they're testing out the silver shield doesn't follow a sequence of him having difficulty with the diamond?

What do you mean "you people"? Are you talking about the people that protect their countries and risk their lives so you can have the freedom to post stupid "SH**" on sites like these?

I do not believe Willming is American, "you people" implies this, therefore his freedom to post here is not secured by american troops.
From his statement i think he/she believes the iraq war isnt a war to protect freedom or citizens but rather one for other less idealistic reasons.

Anyway, politics aside...

I hope we get three Captain America's from Hot Toys:

1. A WW2 battle suit that we've seen
2. A USO (Classic) costume
3. A fatigues/costume mix

Or ideally the battle suit one and fatigues one could be combined into a DX with two shields two head sculpts (one helmeted with cap helmet, other with hair and an army helmet that can be worn) and the fatigues that can be added to the cap costume or a seperate fatigues costume.

Red skull is a given and maybe a bucky, that would be it for me i'd have no interest in hydra guys, scientists, dugan or peggy.

Red Skull should have two heads one "Hugo weaving" one "Red skull", i cant see how they could get the mask to work though, you wouldnt want it looking like a T-600 as it's supposed to look more real, like he's not wearing one, i dont think they could make it that form-fitting.

If Red Skull happens (which he probably will) than I'm gonna need to get a second job. :(

There's a still of him in more traditional combat garb and he's got the shield shaped shield on his back.

Which is an HT figure I'd definitely get - very WWII Ultimates look.

Thanks for the explanation on the backstory Khev, Nova. I think I am liking this Capt'n America quite a lot. Hes on the top of my HT wish list (ahead of Thor, Sucker Punch, Metal Gear, and other recent annoucements)

I now remember seeing that still a little a while ago too. Awesome, some great looks in the movie that should lead to some fantastic figures, should HT decide to give us multiple versions.

To be fair we won't know until release.

There is some hope that we might see the crest shield, and I should say that I'm only speculating so that I don't further upset people *geez*.....

But the scene at the end of the TV spot where Cap asks as he holds a silver circular shield,
"What do you think?"
The woman takes a few shots at the circular shield then says,
"I think it works."

Perhaps this is Cap working on the second version of the shield where the first version is the crest shield. Fingers crossed that this is somewhere near the actual script. :D

The point being, if both shields are in the movie there's a chance HT could include two shields.

Centurion you read the script? how is it? No spoilers please!
No, not at all.
Sorry you misunderstood.
Ultimately, all I'm saying is that I hope we get to see both shields (crest and circular) in HTs Cap figure.
