It will be...kinda. Rogers starts off as a entertainment guy (there's a word for it, I forgot) and during one of his shows, he fake punches a guy dressed as Hitler.

Or so I was told....

That could be fun! I'm looking forward to this more than Thor (but only because I've never read Thor).

Here's another shot of his first uniform with the inside corner of the diamond shield on his back.

I like that it looks like the traditional comic version of the Cap costume under his combat fatigues. As "silly" as that might look to some people, it'll be a great nod to the comic book fans if he's in this outfit as well.

What makes you say that?

If Thor is out the same time as the movie then no doubt Captain America will be as well.

I think that Cap will be out... but any extra figs... (Redskull, Alternate Cap) will likely be a while.

I think the first Captain America fig should be a DX, comprising of a leather jacket version (above), and a full costume version as seen in the trailer. They should also supply both bodies. I would certainly be willing to pay $275-$300 for such an offering.

Why do people say stuff like this? You might as well say, "Erm, Hot Toys, could you please raise your prices a little?". Crazy. :slap

Errr, because I mean it...? Don't you think that a DX CapAm with 2 bodies and 2 costumes would be worth it?

Why do people say stuff like this? He said if it came with a second body and outfit...that's two figures for $275 or 300 which lower than the average price for a HT figure.

I would LOVE a Cap with 2 bodies and costumes. That is not my point.

Why can't Hot Toys do it for less though? The DX Indy comes with all sorts of crap and is expensive at $250. There are discussions on the board about HT pricing themselves out of the market. Why show your cards by saying you'd happily pay such a high price? I for one do not want $250+ to be the standard for HT figures.

^ totally agree...

$250 would be the price for essentially two figures (two Caps in one box). Now if you do the math here, that works out to $125 a figure. Even if the price tag was $300 for this DX Cap, that's still only $150 a figure. The lowest price these days for a relatively plain figure is $143.99 and then you have figures like Thor which are around $170 depending on where you shop so I don't see where your logic is coming from.

$300 bucks for TWO hot toys?! Um yeah, sign me up for the Pre-order.

Do it for less? Listen (sorry...'read' would be more appropriate), I completely understand that it is always great when you pay less for good-quality stuff; however, collecting this "stuff" is, after all, a luxury. Just like videogames. I'm not saying you're wrong, but unfortunately the R&D that goes into developing these incredible figures needs to be accounted for in the final price. $275-$300 for a complete 2-fig package seems very reasonable in the collectible world.
