ALREADY SAID, IN DETAIL, ON P.61
Oh, excuse me for not reading every ____ing post in this thread. I'll understand if I get banned.

$250 would be the price for essentially two figures (two Caps in one box). Now if you do the math here, that works out to $125 a figure. Even if the price tag was $300 for this DX Cap, that's still only $150 a figure. The lowest price these days for a relatively plain figure is $143.99 and then you have figures like Thor which are around $170 depending on where you shop so I don't see where your logic is coming from.

Okay, you are missing my point. It would be great if they did a DX Cap that had FOUR versions of Cap, plus a Bucky and free soldier serum. The item is not what I have issue with.
1) It's a pipe dream, unlikely to happen. Why do two figures together when you can sell a separate body a la DX Joker.
2) My main point is that by making statements like that we are building up a culture where it is fine for HT to keep raising prices on their figures. I'm not attacking anyone or having a go, I just feel that HT should be guessing how much we are prepared to pay, and thus making sure that their figures are damn well worth the prices they charge. We don't need to be offering them money to make figures.
I hope I am making my point clear. Been awake for 3 days with a crying infant so perhaps I'm not explaining myself well!

The main problem behind your logic is that even if HT "raises" its prices (which ultimately wouldn't be unjustified if it offered 2 bodies and 2 costumes), you will still be buying the product, and so will a lot of people. If collectors had the balls to boycott, then I guess your point wouldn't be moot.
You think people don't have the balls to boycott? I disagree.
And with a $300 DX cap they'd be pricing out a lot of people who would be happy with a MMS Cap. Most people probably don't want more than one cap. They'd have to do a DX and a non DX, which seems unlikely to me.
I understand what you're trying to say. The part I disagree with I put in bold in the quote. By saying I would be glad to get a DX Cap with two bodies and outfits and whatnot for $300 (however hypothetical it may be) is far from saying its fine for HT to keep raising prices. By getting two figures for $300 you are paying $150 per figure which is lower than the average figure produced by HT. I would essentially be saying its fin for HT to lower their prices rather than raise them.
Does that make it any clearer?
Now this a completely separate, yet relevant point. Personally I would not want both of the figures and would not buy it. That's not to say its a good deal as $150 a figure is good these days, I just dont want two of them. I'd rather pay $170 for the one figure I want than $300 for one figure I want and one I dont want.

No, people do not have the balls to boycott in mass, especially the majority of people who buy HT. You have to remember that HT are primarily produced for die-hard fans that have a disposable income and those people wouldn't care if the figures were more expensive or not.
The people that keep HT afloat are not the occasional collectors, its the people who have shelves and shelves full of HT, not just a couple of iconic characters.
HT addicts eh? .
I worry that it is those people who are not pushing HT to produce quality stuff. The DX Indy headsculpt has really shocked me in that they have come out with a substandard sculpt, and loads of fanboys have defended HT like it's a personal attack on them and preordered. But that's probably a discussion left to the Indy thread.
Back on topic, does Cap definitely appear in modern costume in this one (at the end I mean)?
