Frank Miller drew 300 and all of Sin City. His art is not trash. But I guess one man's art is another's piece of ****.
You're right, he's a truly amazing artist :lol.

A little late for Batman Day.... :lol

Looks cool, and I love the Dark Knight, but not the comic Batman I would want in 1/6 scale. Like already said, I'd be down for a Hush Batman. And a Superman to go with him.

HT has a new gold mine if they want to focus on Comic figures. My wallet be damned.
Lol, Batman Quarter, Batman Quarter...

You actually looked that up 🤣🤣🤣

His style just isn't for you. He's still an amazing artist and writer, responsible for some of the most groundbreaking stories in comics history. So when someone calls his work trash, I am going to correct such a ******** statement.
You're right, my bad.

Was gonna get Batfleck as my Batman representation, but so glad I waited. This, Hush Bats and Arkham Origins/Knight will be that now
Comic book DC figures. My (empty) wallet is in danger ...

I am guessing the desire to recoup the cost of a new body is the reason this is a Hot Toys and not a HONO figure.

If Hot Toys continues to make more comic figures (which I am all for) is it worth it for them to have a HONO line?
Maybe Hono don't have a DC licence. Haven't all their figures been Marvel so far?

Holy crap hot toys actually doing something DC that's not the dark knight trilogy! I thought I was done with collecting. I always wanted a custom version of this (I forgot the artist, he is on instagram) but that was $600. This is much better for the price!

Wow I think this looks great, may pick up. Clearly not posable enough to hit that lightning strike pose tho lol
As much as I like this, A hush batman and superman would both be an instant purchase

Finally a comic Batman right. I'll get this but I also hoped we got a Hush or Neal Adam's style Batman first.

My favorite Batman.

TDKR > All other Batman

Not feeling it though.

Looks good but not great.

I need it to look great with the costs involved.

I would’ve preferred a Gabriele Dell’Otto look to it.

The Sideshow Premium Format lightning DKR and the 2 Prime One 1/3 statues remain the perfect DKR in existence.

I love the fact that they are doing this, and what it means for hottoys general approach. This opens the door for more dc comic styled figures. But like others I love the story, but not the design, and probably won't bite on this. I think the Affleck Bats is a pretty big improvement on that idea.

Year 1 Mazzucchelli Bats? Hell yes. Neal Adams or Garcia-Lopez would be even better. My ideal batman is actually the Alan Davis blue suit version though that's a deep cut (though he did part of year 2). I would happily get rid of my various film versions and just go with those.

Agreed. Miller's work goes past a lot of people. Generally speaking, ill-conceived expectations of comic art are borne out of this desire for literalism, which I would argue has exacerbated the slow death of comics as an art form. What Miller brings to the table is (and has always been) expressionism. The primary function of comics art is to express emotion/energy/story. Miller's line work exemplifies this, and sacrifices traditional (simplistic) expectations of rendering in favor of the aforementioned - which is why is work changed the industry and why you have creators like Jim Lee aping him (albeit with a lesser understanding of story). Functionally, Lee is a skilled craftsman. Miller is an artist.

I would love to see Hot Toys release more figures based on the style of the artists who drew them.
